Asian Golden Sands - S7 & S8

the location was great and Ashok is a very attentive host. the kitchen has some basic utensils and a working fridge/freezer. the balcony is handy for drying clothes (you will need to hand wash). the building is very secure. when I told the owner that the room I was in was close to the building work next door he was happy to move me to a different one.

the general level of cleanliness wasn’t the best. it was a bit grubby. when I arrived I ended up doing a deep clean as I was to be there for two weeks. after that all was good. when I say grubby I just mean that there is a lot of dust and pots/pans needed cleaning before use, as did the induction stove, microwave and fridge. there also is a lack of kitchen tools. I ended up buying my own the security guy downstairs, Raj, was a very nice guy but definitely tried to short change me by 200inr. it isn’t a big amount but it is the principle. he told me he placed the money in my hand which was an outright lie and insisted as much. I just accepted it and moved on. later in the evening he gave the money to his colleague to give to me but I just told him to keep it as it was more of a principle — I was planning on leaving him a tip anyway.

Good Stay and Near by beach and market

I had a comfortable stay in the apartment, the host was very responsive and reacted quickly to my requests, the caretaker was very helpful at all times. The location is great, close to all you need and yet not noisy. I really enjoyed my stay. And the wifi worked well!

I wish there had been a washing machine, it would just have been perfect.

Pretty good place to stay in Benaulim area, as you are between the beach (10min walk) and all the town's main bits you might need. The flat was well spacious, no issues with cleanliness. Your stay is managed by the security guard Rajesh and he can help you out with anything you might need. There are actually 2 flats (S7 and S8) so your experience might differ based on which one you get. We got the one facing the main road, which initially was a bit of a disappointment as we were hoping for what we assume is the more peace and quiet of the back side of the building. However, it turned out better for us as the sun rises from the other side of the building so our flat stayed cool in the shade and at really comfortable temperature through out the day (which has been a problem for us at other stays). The noise from the road wasn't that bad, but if you are a very light sleeper, maybe keep that in mind.

Property was an apartment (living room kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom and balcony) basically furnished, cooking utensils supplied and clean bedding, they also provided Wi-Fi dongle for our stay which was a bonus…great location, quiet area, 15 minute walk to the beach and next to some great restaurants catering for all tastes. Caretaker was great and was always smiling…

The location was close to colva benaulim and varca, we rented cycle (electric ones) and it was a smooth ride, owner was very helpful and so os the guard who helped on the property through out. Swiggy Zomato works and u can go to nearby restaurants. Eat street in 2 mins walk, close to super market 5 min walk. 10 mins walk to benaulim beach

Host Ashok Velip was helpful in resolving small issues on SOS basis. Property is just about 10 min walk from Benaulim beach. There are many good restaurants and supermarkets near the property at a walkable distance. Property is new, clean, semi furnished but extremely comfortable. Even you can order food online from Zomato or swiggy at home.

There is no washing machine. TV was available but basic channels were only active. The buckets were broken in the bathroom. The double bed mattress was not of good quality since it was not comfortable.
