COZY APARTMENT IN BRUSSELS

The property really was lovely. Immaculately clean and delightful to be able to open the door into the fresh air. Bed was super comfortable in the shower had great pressure. The bus was almost outside the door and that took us through to Midi station from where you can go anywhere.

We liked everything about the property. If there was one thing that they could do differently it would be simply provide some salt and pepper.

The location is a 9 minute walk from a Metro station and on a quiet street. The apartment is truly spotless, decorated nicely with a great kitchen. Even has a nice back patio with furniture. The reviews mentioning the uncomfortable couch and thin pillows are true but these were not deal breakers for me because I don't watch tv and I sat at the dining table. The apartment is very quiet and I couldn't hear any road noise or noise from other people in the building. The apartment is also on the ground floor which meant no stairs. A microwave, stove, tea kettle and packets of tea were provided in the kitchen.

The toilet backed up so severely on my second day that it took a plumber two hours with the use of loud machinery to completely repair. I did nothing to cause this back-up but I helped to clean up the first mess. (There were several messes while the owner waited for the plumber as well as during the repair). After the repair, the plumber and the owner sat at the table for about 15 minutes speaking to each other in French. The english phrase, "In Cash" was frequently spoken. The plumber then presented me with a bill that he filled out borrowing my pen that came out to over 1,000 Euros. In English, he said I needed to pay cash and he said this while standing in front of the owner who nodded his head. I refused and stated I had nothing to do with the back-up. The plumber interrogated me on how long I had been staying there. I answered but refused to answer any other questions because it wasn't right for him to ask me any questions. He then said that they are not unreasonable people. I would only need to pay 50/50 but cash only. I refused again, he and the owner shrugged at each other, and the plumber left. The owner cleaned the floor spotless while I told him it was wrong to ask me to pay and suspicious that they were demanding cash. He said the plumber told him that trash had been flushed down the toilet and that for seven years he (the owner) has never had a problem. Well, I've never had a problem with anyone else's plumbing and I did not flush anything other than the toilet paper provided by the owner. And I did not use excessive toilet paper for that matter. Up to that point I didn't have any issues with the owner. But he had a costly repair and he tried to take advantage of the situation by shaking down a female solo traveler to pay for it in cash so that the payment could not be traced. I immediately notified booking.

Bright, spacious, clean. Nice to have a private garden.

It really exceeded our expectations, the flat is very clean and beautiful, and a small yard for a sunny day is an extra bonus.

A little bit far from the city center, but public transport is available.

The apartment has everything you might need and is exceptionally clean with modern, high quality furnishings and amenities. Excellent shower, really comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and the coffee machine was very much appreciated! Our host was really helpful and communicative, plus the self check-in was very simple and convenient, especially as we were arriving late. Highly recommended!

Apartment had little extras, and everything you could possibly need for a stay, even if you got the ingredients and made a meal, all kitchen items available. Shower was amazing, bed very comfortable, plenty storage, plenty items ie towels available.

Really enjoyed my stay

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the apartments. The accommodation was immaculate, with modern furnishings and amenities that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend these apartments for a delightful stay.

The place is nice and clean, have all the facilities we need except for the detergent. Check in is super easy and the while apartment is spacious.

It takes around 10min walk to the metro station if you don't catch a abus (bus station is just across the street)
