BUDAPEST4U - New apt in the central of Budapest

Nous sommes arrivés dans un appartement sale et très vétuste: la climatisation coule en plein milieu de l'appartement, un équipement sale( assiettes , couverts...) pour manger pour 3 personnes alors qu'on était 4, pas d'équipement pour cuisiner, douche qui débordait (on a dû nettoyer le dispositif d'évacuation qui ne l'avait pas été depuis fort longtemps au vu de ce que nous avons sorti), les toilettes mal fixés au sol, la porte de la salle de bain qui reste coincée, le lave linge en panne, le volet cassé... En arrivant mon fils a pleuré en voyant l'appartement et nous, nous sommes allés acheter des produits d'entretien pour tout nettoyer. Nous avons vu plusieurs cafards pendant notre séjour. Bref je ne recommande pas du tout.

Didn't have the facilities expected, lift not working many days and the apartment was dirty, smelly and full of little flies.

Quick communication with the owner. Good location of the apartment. Air conditioner. Comfortable bed. Perhaps this is all that can be noted from the positive aspects of this housing.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that the washing machine was broken (and had been for a long time). When it's +35 outside, it's a special thrill. For 9 days only 2 towels were provided. Add. towel for 5 euros. When I asked about cleaning, I was told that it was not included in the price and generously offered to clean for 30 euros. There were no batteries in the TV remote (I bought them as a bonus for future residents, as well as a floor mop). The stove is dirty, with grease stains. There were no pots and pans to simply fry eggs at night after a long journey. They delivered it the next day, thank you very much for that. The soap and dish liquid in the dispenser was less than half and diluted with water. Stalactites in the shower stall, a dripping shower and a toilet not screwed to the floor made bathing procedures especially piquant. There are no disposable slippers. Therefore, you can be left without fingers, since the laminate in the kitchen is swollen. The windows are wooden and difficult to open. The dirt on the curtains remembers the 1956 revolution. The refrigerator should be defrosted because there is not much room in the freezer due to the ice. A homeless man was sleeping on the threshold at the entrance and we had to step over him to get into the apartment.

The Photos.

That the Photos weren't like the place looks like. The building smell bad, the place was dirty on their walls. Bed was terrible, dirty, with blood stains, even the sheets. TV doesn't have any channel working. They were many things in disorder like people living their and they just throw in a corner everything just for renting it.

Dump but close to the center. The stink in the stairs did not make me puke. The owners have about 300 flats, so lots of bad options 4 U.

Long review. In 2 words: rent elsewhere. The place is owned by a big business to make money, no consideration at all for the guests. The place is full of broken stuff piled in corners, cupboards and drawers. No proper kitchenware, broken chairs, broom with no handle, saggy mattress, leaking coffeemaker, dead washing machine in the bathroom, the list could go on and on. I messaged the owners to let them know that I was unsatisfied with the general state of the apartment. By the time they replied, I had failed to shower because the hose was punctured and unusable. They asked me to take pictures of the broken stuff and send it to them, so I did. I had to pressure them to send someone to fix at least the shower, it was 35 degrees... They sent a guy with the wrong hose. He said we had to wait until the next day. Thank god I manage a temporary repair, the guy who came the next day had no hose at all and was supposed to come back later but he never did. No need to say that the other issues were not adressed either. I notified Booking.com that they should not offer this place because it's a dump. They wrote to the owners and nobody answered them, so they told me to write a review and that was the extent of their help. They added "Love and support" at the end of their messages, and it was exactly as helpful as "Thoughts and prayers"... I rent a lot on Booking, this was the first time I tried their customer support and I was not impressed. I use reviews a lot in my travels so I took the time to let you know about this disgrace of a place, waste no more time and move on.
