It is spotlessly clean, a charming little apart in a small village, Zacros. It is close to the Zacros Gorge walk.

The host was very nice. The checkin was quick and easy. Apartment has all the essentials that you need for cooking simple breakfast or dinner. We had a car at the time we were there we didn’t have any issues finding parking at the church.

The refrigerator was a bit noisy. It quiet down if lowered to level 1 and bedroom door muffles it.

This is a great apartment in the lively and very likeable village of Zakros on the frankly stunning eastern tip of Crete. I have been coming to Crete for some years now and this was my best accomodation so far. It's basically a small flat with a bedroom and a living room/kitchen. The apartment has plenty of storage space, a washing machine, TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The small balcony overlooks the charming main square of Zakros with its Taverna and cafes, which makes one feel one is part of the action (noise is not an issue at all as the doors a solid and the bedroom is on the backside of the building). The host, Maria, is very warm and helpful. She showered me with small gifts and even paid for my drink when we happened to end up at the same taverna one night. I will definitely stay at George's House again when I am next in the area. Highly recommended!
