Monroe Central Budapest

Great location, very clean and comfortable place.

The location was great - it only took you a few minutes to walk to important sights and good restaurants, and public transportation was almost in front of the house as well. The apartment was well equipped (kitchen, bathroom), and there were spare towels etc. The owner was amazing and very friendly as well! When we were arriving way later than expected due to traffic, he helped us and enabled us to check in via self check-in so we wouldn’t have to stress ourselves too much.

The shower could have been cleaned a little better, and on booking.com it said that there would be an oven, but it was a microwave.

Location was excellent. Down a fairly quiet street, but still close to all the action, one street away from transport hubs, food options, fantastic cafes, and an Aldi.

Nothing.

The property was in an excellent location. Walking distance to all the main attractions and loads of restaurants. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean and spacious. Annamarie met us at the property, so friendly and helpful! She accommodated an earlier check in for us, even after we had previously been refused by Alexandra.

Although the bathroom has been well cleaned there was a slight smell of urine. I think it may have been the toilet brush which needs replacing! A fresher, fluffier towel would also have been a nice touch as the ones we were given were a bit worn and rough.

The room was spacious

The apartment is big and comfy, in a great central location with a good view. It has a great pizzeria in front of the building and many cute coffee places around. It's near the metro and Christmas markets as well as the Jewish neighborhood and many souvenir shops and restaurants. The whole place was fairly clean but not spotless. The hosts were very kind and helpful and let us stay a few hours past the check out since we had an afternoon flight which helped us a lot. Some noises in the night due to the fridge and heater were a bit annoying but overall we had a good sleep. We'll come back soon.

When you enter the apartment the door can be locked, but the outside barred door can't be which is a bit weird at night and it's a bit spooky because the corridor light flickers every time someone in the building opens the light since it's a glass/wooden door but otherwise it felt safe. The barred door can only be locked from the outside so when you exit the house it feels safe letting your luggage in while you are outside and the neighborhood is clean and super safe even late at night. We found nothing that would stop us choosing this place again.
