Óbuda Apartments

It was big. Suitable for families.

The management of the apartment was trying to sell everything. They were offering everything. Taxi, late check out fee, even the remote from the conditioner. It was as hot as in the hell in the apartment, and we did not want to pay extra 60 euros for the conditioner in the beginning. My mum was staying alone for a month while check in they did not even put a bottle of water in the apartment. Moreover for stay a month they cleaned only once in the apartment and did not put any cleaning stuff for her own cleaning. Litter bags were not available as well.

9th floor, so quiet and a great view of the city. Lift clean and was always available. Washing machine, balcony and good weather handy for those travelling light.

The flat is a little retro but we didn't mind at all. In fact, I am a big fan of the 70's, 80's. The rooms are specious, the kitchen is small but has all you need. The flat was clean. The view from the living room and one of the bedrooms was lovely, overviewing Buda and Pest's important monuments. I loved it at night especially. The neighbours we met were very friendly, the house is clean and nice. The lady from the agency was pleasant, polite and very helpful giving us recommendations on nearby places we needed, such as restaurants or grocerie stores. The communication with the agancy was prompt, kind, thoughtful and straightforward.

We were not after any top luxury so can't really say what we didn't like. We were fully satisfied with our stay.

The host was very helpful. The neighbourhood seemed quite safe and with 3 supermarkets very close by, a gym, a shopping mall, etc. There's also a REALLY good Hungarian restaurant very close by.

The apartment is a bit tight. It has a very big living room and 3 rooms but everything else feels a bit crammed. It was also a bit loud, even with all the windows closed. The kitchen is very small and it is not a good idea to fry anything as there isn't an exhaustion fan. The whole apartment will smell like butter/oil/grease otherwise. It's also not very close to the center but it has some options for Tram and Bus.
