City Park Rest Apartment with Air Condition

The stay was comfortable and straightforward. The host was friendly and met me in person to hand over the keys, which was a nice touch. They also shared some great local recommendations for places to eat and visit. The apartment was clean and perfectly acceptable for a short stay.

The shower was extremely small — there was barely enough room to move, which made it a bit uncomfortable. That was really the only downside, though. Overall, it was still an enjoyable and pleasant stay.

The mattress was very comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet, it was easy to sleep and rest after a busy day. The host was not present in person, but communication was fast and helpful via messages. He responded quickly and was polite and willing to assist.

I usually choose places based on reviews, and I rarely go wrong. This time, however, I was surprised by how different the apartment was from the photos and high rating (9.3). I think the high score may reflect the host’s friendliness rather than the apartment itself, many guests probably feel uncomfortable writing negative things because the host is indeed kind and polite. The main room looks nice, just like in the pictures. But the bathroom and kitchen are very different, the photos mostly show decorations and avoid showing the real condition. The kettle was rusty and unpleasant to use, the towels smelled bad and were overused, and I even found someone’s socks under the furniture. The air conditioner is installed at the entrance, not in the room, instead, there was a dirty fan. Loose wires, a broken bathroom door, a nail instead of a hook, these small things added up. I also found condoms and lubricants in the bedside drawer, which felt very inappropriate and uncomfortable. For the price I paid, €237 for 3 nights as a solo traveler, I expected better. If the photos had shown the real condition of the whole apartment, I wouldn’t have chosen this place.

The host was fantastic and easy to communicate with. On top of that the apartment was absolutely perfect for my needs on this short trip. Great location, and perfect size for a single traveler or a couple! Very comfortable and very nice.

The location is amazing and size of the room is very good. It has all the facilities and host is extremely helpful and guides you well for everything.

Loved this apartment it was bright and spacious and had everything I needed for my stay. It was close to public transport restaurants and shops. I was in a residential area which felt safe and close to the centre of Budapest. I would highly recommend staying here, and Gabor was a helpful and gracious host.

Bathroom bit too small not host's responsibility - Building looks scary at the beginning but you get used to it. I would recommend a periodic cleaning (removal of old furniture and chairs sitting in the common spaces) . This would look better already

The apartment is excellent, with everything you need, plus heating to keep it warm in the winter. The WiFi was very fast, and the apartment is well furnished. I’m also very grateful to the host who came to help and brought the keys late at night (since I got the dates mixed up and essentially arrived a day early). Highly recommended—the apartment is fantastic, and so is Gabor. Thank you!
