We had a wonderful stay at Almirida Sands apartments. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and kind people who genuinely care about their guests. Everything in the hotel is thoughtfully arranged, with all the little touches that make your stay truly comfortable. The apartments are beautiful, cozy, and exceptionally clean and well-kept. Our room, Epsilon, had the most amazing view of both the sea and the mountains — absolutely breathtaking. The spacious terrace, lined with flowers all around, added a charming and relaxing atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our time here and warmly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and a heartfelt welcome. We would love to come back again!

Location was great just a 10 minute walk to the beach. Property is really well maintained and extremely clean and comfortable. We had the studio apartment but still had our own outdoor seating space which was really well maintained.

Pulling into the carpark can be a bit tight but manageable.

The property is beautiful and Jannis and Cecile have clearly worked hard and still do to make it a beautiful space. Everything worked and the views were stunning. Two minutes from the beach and shops open late with everything you needed, suited the lazy holiday that we needed.

The property is surrounded by other properties, and so despite having a big terrace and big dining table, we didn't really feel that we could relax in a sociable way. Though we appreciated the surprise of complimentary bread and jam on our first morning, the apartment was completely empty of basics and would have benefited from a welcome pack of basics eg. some water, dishwasher and washing machine tabs etc. to save every occupant buying a new supply. Jannis was super helpful, but we felt we didn't need quite so much attention and would have preferred more privacy, with the owners within reach if need be.

The residence was clean, in an excellent location, had very good amenities, and was hosted by incredibly kind individuals. The view from the balcony was stunning and the environment was well-kept. Services like places to eat or to buy food and other supplies were nearby. At one point or another, our toaster broke. We let the host know and to our surprise, he came back not even a minute later with a new one in hand! We hadn't expected such a fast response considering it was just a toaster. It made us feel very cared for and assured us of the reliability of the host. The hosts were present often during the mornings and gave friendly greetings whenever we ran into one another. They maintained cleanliness efficiently all the while giving us plenty of space. We bought some products from them, a couple of jars of jam, which we had gotten a sample of at the beginning of our trip. The jams are delicious.

Every issue, which we barely even had, was solved quickly and efficiently. It's good to note, however, that the residence is located on top of quite a steep hill. This is to be expected on Crete, of course.

Yannis and Cecile are great hosts. Very kind and accommodating. The location of the apartment is great, only 2 mins walk away from the town centre and beach in Almyrida. The apartment we stayed in was perfect for us (couple). Clean, quiet and comfortable with cooking utensils provided which was very helpful. Parking is available at the accommodation for bikes/cars. If we come back to Almyrida again, this will be the place that we stay.

Only slight issue we had was that the shower is not fully closed off, so it can easily leak into the rest of the bathroom. However, there's a drain on the floor which slowly helps get rid of it. Note that this is more of a self-serving accommodation so it's not cleaned every single day, but that was fine for us. Fresh towels and cleaning were provided every 2 days or so.

It is a perfect place for a calm and relaxing holiday! Yannis was really kind and welcoming, provided all the necessary information and good-to-know things about the apartment and the area. For breakfast we received fresh bread from local bakery and home made jam, it was delicious and very thoughtful. There is literally everything in the apartment that you would need for, they pay attention to all the details. The apartment was cleaned and tidied up every second day, we had no problem at all. The village is great, there is no noise or loud parties that could be bothering, however it has life, many restaurants, tavernas, shops and of course beautiful beach with clear turquoise water, which is shallow so safe for children too. I highly recommend this place! We are planning to come back next summer!
