Kassiesbaai Cottage

Friendly welcome from informative host who lived next door so felt quite secure. Everything we needed was there and all very comfortable. The sea view from the barbecue room was amazing and it was a real privilege to stay in such an historic site. I visited this area 40 years ago when it was simply a stunning little fishing village and fell in love. It has changed so much but I’m so pleased the cottages are being preserved. The locals were very friendly and we enjoyed our hike out to the Arniston monument and a meal at Willeens Restaurant - great pickled fish and babotie.

The area is generally safe but there are opportunists around so the usual advice would apply as in most of South Africa… don’t leave anything in your car or take unnecessary risks.

Beautifull traditional home with best braaii room and stunning views. Close to hotel and swimming beach.

The location was incredible ..in the old fishing village overlooking the ocean. It was a very quiet location, very easy to access the visitor sites and close to restaurants. Having access to a private braai room over looking the ocean was amazing.

it would have helped to have info on the location, a google pin or similar.

Perhaps we were there in the winter period, but it was very cold, I'd advise to ad a heater or air conditioning, as this was the only down side to making it the ultimate romantic cozy getaway
