Residenza IL CASTELLO

Very clean and functional appartment at super location. Opposite the railway station and close to.bus station. Also close to supermarkets. Gets a little lively at weekend evenings and you can hear neighbours.

House is echoy and you can hear neighbours. Ground floor appartment has patio, but it is not very decorative, just a fenced off space with concrete. Not anywhere where you would sit.

We just needed to stay overnight, and catch an early train to Milano the next AM. For us location was great, walk across a small road to the train station. Meals we took care of ourselves, in the city of Sondrio.

Not a matter of not liking exactly, but have the room close to a train station was a + access-wise, but the train was noisy, between trains, people at the station. But it was quieter overnight, because it is a small station.

Silvano met us outside the apartment block with the key and showed us around the apartment. We had a lovely chat with him and he showed us some amazing photos on the wall he had taken of the area with his drone before he left and we settled in. We were only there for one night which must be frustrating when renting a full apartment. Good things: very friendly host and we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and tidy, the washing machine had instructions on how to use it and it was a very good machine and there was also a large drying rack. It’s across the road from the train station which was convenient for us but we didn’t hear any noise at night (from trains or anything else).

Nothing, the apartment is exactly as advertised, very clean with amenities that we required. Host was lovely and very interesting.

The property is right in front of the station. The rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the view of the train station and mountains from the balconies. On the walls there are beautiful photos of nearby mountains. The staff says he took those photos.

Although I appreciate the fact that there is a Nespresso machine in the property, it seems something was wrong with it. We had to very carefully set the capsule to make coffee properly, which resulted in spending seven capsules (which we had brought) for four acceptable cups of espresso.
