The Duke Apartment

I really liked our stay. Everything I needed was there. The only cons I see- I missed real shades (light blocking ones). It was clean but could have been cleaner.

I like the bed, and there are adequate sockets which is really convenient. The location is also good.

Location, air-conditioned, wardrobe space, very good Wi-Fi, microwave, kettle and feels safe, easy to communicate with the owner.

Hmm..where to start? Tiny kitchen with very poor selection of cutlery (single tea spoon); cutlery drawer does not open fully; windows should have mosquito nets as it is impossible to keep them open during summer in Belgrade (mosquito there, someone said, are like storks); kitchen air extractor does not work or not connected; kitchen cabinets dirty and full of leftovers from previous guests; nonfunctioning or faulty lighting (the owner kindly changed 4 bulbs but it did not help); very small bathroom; very basic towels (not properly dried and after becoming wet after first use, very smelly); oversized furniture that really does not fit properly in tiny space; the dining table needs leg screws tightening as it feels will fall apart; no floor covering and the apartment feels unwelcoming and cold. And to the end - my flight back was later afternoon and asked the owner to let me leave the apartment couple of hours later than usual check-out time (12:00), but was denied and asked to leave exactly by 12:00. Was told the owners rented it out to new guests from 14:00. I understand that they run rental business and need to follow profitability rules, but being single guest for 7 days and paying quite large sum for rental, I believe entitled me for some flexibility and understanding, especially I was ready to pay for extension of few hours. Checked later at the airport, Duke Apartment was shown unoccupied?!
