M52 Apartment - hostAID

The location was excellent. The apartment was clean and comfortable. And the people that helped with checkin were very kind and easy to work with. The emails for the company tell you everything you need to do for check-in, including providing some photos of documents in advance (this is required by Hungarian law). They send you to an app that was easy to use. Make sure you do it at least 1 day in advance.

We had 2 minor complaints. First, be aware that there will not be any soap/body wash, shampoo, or conditioner in the shower (there is hand soap for the bathroom sink). So bring your own or pic some up. I believe they say this in the description, but it is easy to forget. For the price, and given how nice everything else was, I would expect it to be included. The second complaint is that each bathroom came with only a single roll of toilet paper. I would have expected 2 in each for a 3-night stay with multiple people.

Location. Dastan was helpful for the check-in process.

No elevator. I could not use the sauna.

We were two couples meeting up to spend time in Budapest and this was a perfect apartment as it has two double beds and two separate bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is smaller, but my friends had been cycle touring and it was definitely an upgrade from the tent. The location is really good - a couple of hundred metres from the pedestrian zones that link to the centre of the city, and close to many good restaurants. The four of us had space to be together, and also room for privacy. We really loved it and would stay there again.

This is a more general comment that applies to many Booking.com apartments, but I do not understand why hosts will supply a dishwasher but not dishwasher detergent etc. We bought 30 capsules and left 25 of them for the next guest, but our generosity did not extend to buying dishwasher salt, which it also needed (and I did clean the dishwasher filters because I am that sort of guest). Similarly for our 8 day stay we were supplied one bin bag. So I just think that hosts who provide enough cleaning supplies for the length of the stay demonstrate that they have put some thought into their guests' experience.

The sauna works.

It's run by an agency, so none of the little details that add value to a stay, like sugar for your morning coffee, or coffee, or the nice coffee maker in the photos, or wine glasses, shampoo, shower gel, bath mats, etc. Non-essentials, but, for the price, I kinda expect some of those at least. Found their barrage of long, demanding messages from booking to arrival ("you MUST download this app / upload these documents OR YOUR STAY MAY BE CANCELLED" etc) a bit much, stressful even. Also, was told to "hurry up" to meet the key-dropper as she had another guest arriving. We were 3 minutes late, hurrying from the car park. I'll be looking for private hosts in future.

I liked the location

The apartment was not clean, is not what is shown in the pictures, we had only one bedroom prepared when arrived although we booked the 2 rooms apartment and they couldnt fix it until the next mornin blaming on the maid who never came to fix the room. Is not worth the price because all this.

Very good location . The place made us feel very welcome qnd cozy i enjoyed it so much
