Sedbury Farm Cottages

The location is great and it was bigger than expected, plenty of parking close to town centre but in a quiet location, beds were comfortable. Washing machine and dishwasher are hardly for a family stay. Sofas are comfortable and decorated nicely throughout. Even though there is wifi available the 5g signal in the area is great. all round a pleasant two night would book again if cleaning is addressed.

The bed sheets were stained, dust and cobwebs, clothes and rubbish left in draws, season packets burst open in cutlery drawer, broken glass in cupboard (left on the side) fridge needs a clean and the shelf is broken in the fridge, needs new shower head as its blocked and the pressure is poor, the pillows are VERY flat there were more in the cupboard but to be honest the flat ones just need binning. Feel it was slightly over priced due to cleanliness and things like bedding not being up to pricing standards

The place was very clean and easy to find. In a lovely setting.

The mattress in double room was uncomfortable and I could feel the springs. Also I felt that a rail could be put by the steps as my mum found them difficult.

Being outside the town TV was little one and not smart TV apart from that all great

The property was very clean and well presented. Modern well fitted kitchen. Comfortable settees and bed. Lovely shower. Good heating.

The cottage (number 5) was nice and spacious. It was clean and practical. It was cosy at night. The heating and hot water worked well. The kitchen was well equipped and had virtually everything you would need. Although we didn't need the cottage to be accessible, it would have been for someone with a wheelchair - including the bathroom. All the beds were very comfortable. It was lovely, quiet and dark at night. The bedrooms had great storage. The sofas were comfortable (they were both sofa beds too, giving space/flexibility for more guests, if needed). The staff were easy to message, friendly and sorted an issue we had promptly. The location was ideal for Chepstow, the Lancaut Nature Reserve and the Wye Valley and was about a half hour walk from the station and bus station. We didn't have a car and we managed well. It is near (10 minutes walk) to some excellent and very affordable eating facilities in Sedbury (an Inn and cafe) and a little Spar supermarket.

We were generally happy - these are just suggestions. The WiFi only really worked well in the room with the 3 beds, but you could download videos etc and watch elsewhere, and there was good mobile reception. The extension device didn't work (perhaps because the walls of the cottage were very, very thick). The bathroom was a 'wet room' and, if you weren't careful, all your clothes could get soaked! The drain didn't drain the water effectively and the whole floor would be soaked. Perhaps the owner could leave a note to warn people to hang clothes on the hooks (there were a couple) or they could provide a chair to keep clothes of the floor? The television wasn't fully turned and could only pick up GB News and Talk TV! There were no kitchen scissors. Some of the blinds were broken and or removed.
