"Well equipped, ideal location, clean and comfortable"

Very well equipped. Everything you would need and more for a few nights stay. Kitchen facilities are great.

Mattresses on the beds are not the best.

The cottage was clean, well located, clear instructions were provided, host was very helpful in directing us to the cottage and very accommodating. The area was quiet and each cottage has a little outdoor table and stable door to allow for plenty of fresh air when the weather is nice.

My only criticism (not a complaint) was that the pillows were quite flat. Not much of a problem for us as we just used additional ones from the unused room as there were only 2 of us staying, but equally we didn't bring this to the hosts attention and I'm sure if we had they would've sorted it out!

"Fab weather, great location. Needs a few easy additions"

6.0

The area is lovely & a short walk into Chepstow. It's also quiet. Good to be able to park outside. Amy was really responsive before & during our stay, when i asked for replacement bowls & cups, as some were chipped, & about the fridge. Shower was good. The building certainly holds its heat with its thick walls. Stable door helped as could part open, when we were in kitchen, to cool down. Dishwasher handy. Microwave - didn't use but was there. We did a treasure trail around Chepstow - really interesting place. Visited the museum & walked across the bridge which crosses England & Wales. Parkrun on the old Severn bridge was great - lovely views. Nice Wetherspoons too & enjoyed a walk by The Wye & through Tidenham tunnel.

There were no coat hooks, towel hooks, toilet roll holder or full sized coathangers in the wardrobe. A welcome folder would be helpful. Booklets for appliances we found in several drawers (which could do with sorting through & throwing away irrelevant info) No recycling info - we found somewhere for glass & cardboard but nothing else. The extractor in the bathroom didn't work, nor the hairdryer but there was a spare. The sofas are starting to become threadbare at the edges of the cushions & are really soft, so if you struggle getting out of a chair, best sit on one of the stools. A smaller lamp in the twin room would make room for items to go on the shared bedside table With these small bits addressed, & a bit more attention when cleaning, it would be high scoring
