Rivka's Ein Gedi

Breakfast was not included but there was a shop on the kibbutz so we bought food there. Location was wonderful, all we needed was there and we hope to return when the war slows down. Host was very kind and thoughtful.

Nothing everything was perfect

It was wonderful staying in a kibbutz environment…felt extraordinarily safe, had use of a huge swimming pool, a few restaurant options and easy access to Ein Gedi, Massada and The Dead Sea

Rebecca is the best host! She'll help you with anything you need. The place was super pretty, and it even has a balcony with a view. Life at the Kibbutz is also definitely worth the stay.

From the get-go, Rivka invited us to contact her with any needs and questions we might have, to help move our ample-sized luggage, and to suggest places to visit. The accommodations were designed for beauty, comfort and function, and the outdoor patio was spacious, and provided a great pan Aramaic view of the desert mountains. We also appreciated the opportunity for some ‘home-cooking,’ using Rivka’s stove top. The plants and trees on the grounds, and the chirping of birds each morning added to our during this leg of our travels. I highly recommend Rivka’s Zimmer!

The location of the apartment is spectacular, overlooking the Dead Sea, Jordan and the garden. Rebecca is an attentive and helpful host.

We had a wonderful stay at Rivka’s Zimmer. The apartment is secluded and quiet with a beautiful terrace, and there is everything you need in Ein Gedi kibbutz. Transportation is also easy, with a bus running to/from Jerusalem. Would definitely visit again.

A peaceful spacious light flat with a fabulous balcony with great views towards the Dead Sea and Jordan. Very clean and convenient, with good quality bedlinen. Rivka kindly met me with her kibbutz vehicle to help me with my luggage, and checked in regularly to see if everything was OK, and with crucial advice including for booking my bus to Eilat! It is a beautiful kibbutz!

Everything was perfect! Unfortunately Ein Gedi beach is closed because of sink holes, but it is possible to take the bus from just outside the Kibbutz Hotel reception (and back) to Ein Bokek - a 30 minute ride - to swim in the Dead Sea. but infinitely nicer, to my mind, to stay in Ein Gedi - especially this beautiful peaceful kibbutz set in botanical gardens.

- Amazing kibboetz in Ein Gedi, with beautiful botanical garden and big swimming pool. - Khalil who received us was amazing and friendly and explained us all the info we needed - (small) supermarket on the kibboetz surprisingly has everything you need (a bit more expensive than usual, but this is the only supermarket in a wide range) - More than enough towels - Spacious shower

- Expensive... but the hotel om the kibboetz is much more expensive, but still it's just a studio - Missing a map of the kibboetz that shows where everything is, it's quite big! - Very small dining area, more like a small bar - Kitchen supplies somewhat limited - Aircons have 1 remote, kept interfering with each other (oh and 1 made awful noises) - Communication upfront with owner was difficult and a bit rude, since translate was used and instructions were therefore unclear.

Beautiful kibbutz, a botanic garden. Nice terrasse to enjoy the sunset. Really well equipped room. Very clean.

The stairs are no good if you carry heavy luggage.
