the other side of town. ok if you had a car as its a 40 min walk there and back. If you don't have a car then it's a long way to walk and prob would require a taxi if you have large cases like we had as we were staying for a month. You also have to return the keys there as well.

cleanliness - towel rail filithy, rubber in washing machine filthy , battery in air con remotes flat and corroded so air con didn't work until I replaced them. Overall property could do with a complete decoration - walls marked from over the years usage, dirty hand prints on the wall above the bedroom door, table legs loose acutely fell off when I tried to move when vacuming the floor and the hose of the vacuum continually parted from the shaft. Microwave only had 3 legs and had to be stabilised to use it. On checking the cutlery drawer we found dead insects and it was in need of a clean but when trying to put the dishwasher on to clean the cutlery because it had been sharing a drawer with dead insects, we found the dishwasher would not work. It was in need of rinse agent which we bought and it was fine after that. Bedroom door trim plate on the handle loose never been screwed on and bathroom door would not stay closed when not ilocked which meant when the washing machine was in use it was very noisy I the living room. It didn't help when we were awakened at 8.30 am with the builders on our balcony and started renovating the balcony leaving rubble everywhere. We managed to come to an arrangement with the builder that he would leave our balcony until we left as we were there for one month, however the workers constantly going past our balcony on a hoist left us no privacy and still dirt and dust around made it impossible for us to use this balcony which had encouraged us to book the apartment in the first place. Overall a disaster of a holiday with very little support from Costa Holidays who were the agent. At a cost of £3000 we were very disappointed and will never use this apartment again nor costa holidays. A very small compensation was offered and not a lot of help from Booking.com either. The accompanying photos show some of the problems we encountered. for some reason I can't see the photos in the review

There was a leak in aircon in 2nd bedroom

It was perfect, we had the best week. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Clean and beautifully appointed apartment. Thankyou so much.

unfortunately it was situated in the middle of a major construction site for the redevelopment of the promenade. in complete darkness after sunset.

Due to building and construction work on a long stretch of road just outside the property it was very loud and noisy from 8am to 7pm. The noise and disturbance was excessive. It wasn’t even possible to sit on the balcony or open a window. The property managers Costa Holidays were aware of this but didn’t notify us prior to arrival so we could have cancelled or booked an alternative. According to locals, the work has been ongoing for about five months and is not due to be finished for some time yet. On contacting Costa they were not very sympathetic and not particularly good at responding or explaining why they did not notify us of the construction work before we arrived. I regret having to be so negative as the property is in a lovely location overlooking the sea and is very well equipped. The shower room could do with a good clean though. The whole situation regarding the noise and disturbance due to the work really spoiled our holiday. Video evidence is available if needed.
