"It was fabulous!"

10.0

Super clean and the local owner has decorated it nicely with items meaningful to the Orkneys. It’s close to the tourist area of Kirkwall, but also close the bus so it’s easy to go elsewhere by transit. It has thoughtful touches like a night light at the top of the stairs.

"Location and Puffins!"

10.0

Location, location, location! On the busiest pedestrian street in town with Archive Coffee a wee bit down across the street. Fun to watch everyone going for coffee, work, school, town, etc. Few cars. A few blocks from Cathedral, bus station, visitor center and library. Lovely set up with fun art. Puffins, puffins, puffins! Great bedrooms and baths. Large open kitchen, dining and living space. Grocery at end of street. Beds are comfy. Richard is a great host and friendly. Had to change dates a few times due to ferry, but easily sorted with Richard. I don't think you can find a better place in Kirkwall.

I couldn't stay longer!

Location excellent right in the centre of everything. Comfortable nicely furnished apartment.

It was quite warm in the bedrooms upstairs and the shower was hard to work.

"Excellent place to stay and explore Orkney by public transport."

10.0

It was a very welcoming and cosy property to stay in and felt very connected to Orkney. It was also in an excellent location for looking around Kirkwall and for its shops and other amenities . The property was also a 5 minute walk from Kirkwall travel centre which was very useful to explore Orkney by bus.

"We had a fabulous time and this lovely home was easy to relax in."

10.0

My friend and I were absolutely delighted with the property. It's location is great as it is so close to all amenities. Richard kept in touch regarding access and the property was made ready for us despite us arriving earlier than expected. I have no hesitation in recommending this property and hope to return. Orkneyinga is a perfect base for exploring Orkney and it's islands.

Nothing to say here. I liked it all.

"We fell in love with Orkney"

10.0

Very smooth check-in experience, reassuring when arriving with a late ferry knowing there will be no issues on arrival. We loved the Puffin themed deco and the local cheese & oatcakes! Property has everything you ever need, parking right in front of the house is very convenient. Located on a side street to Kirkwall's main street makes for nice strolls for shopping or going out for a pint. Town was lively as there was a big wedding in St Magnus. Short drive to Scapa Beach, we had a swim as well, the water wasn't even too cold. Thanks Richard for everything!
