Pico Studios

Modern and comfortable, with everything that is needed for a short stay in Pico. Convenient location near the ferry to Faial/S. Jorge, and free parking options nearby. The manager is very nice and kind. There is a shared washing machine for the various Pico Studios apartments, complete with portable hangers to dry your clothes - this was a lifesaver after a week of hiking in the Azores.

Only minor things: kitchen sink is very small, so washing dishes isn’t comfortable; the stylish black bathroom sink has the faucet hanging over its center, which makes it a little cumbersome to use. There was no shower gel and shampoo when we arrived, so we had to go buy it (and left it for future guests).

Location and staff! Patrica was amazing and made our stay so special. 10/10 service

Spacious, modern studio with air conditioning. Super convenient location in the center of Madalena. Helpful staff and option to rent a car.

Love the central location in Madalena!! Walking to restaurants and for pastries, and just around the corner to the ferry.

I'm getting older... an elevator would be nice. Ha!

Our host was so lovely and helpful. The location in the center of town with private parking was perfect. Walking distance from good restaurants.

There was a problem the bathroom door which made it noisy and difficult to open. I am sure it is fixed by now.

Everything! Perfect location and beautiful apartment, so comfortable and clean . Very helpful and friendly host. We could even use the washing machine. Loved that there were robes too. Great bars and restaurants nearby and natural swimming.

It’s quite light at night. The white blinds don’t really darken the room enough, and they don’t fit flat to the window so allows the light to filter straight into the bed. Also the AC unit works very well but the display is very large and as such illuminates the room at night too. I did need to sleep with an eye mask, but I am a very light sleeper so may well not be a problem for others.

It was clean. It was quiet.

It had stairs with 20 steps to enter/ exit, no elevator. No help with luggage. All in 1 room. There is no separate bedroom. No microwave. Very small (bar type) refrigerator. No Oven. Bathroom was nice, but needs more towel drying-hanging access. Says parking available, but you'll need to rent the smallest car available to get into the parking area. A 90 degree turn without much room to maneuver. We couldn't locate the front door, even though we drove past it twice. Had to call to get instructions about door next to pizza parlor.

Well located in Madalena, right next to the ferry terminal, main church, town market. Newly renovated and kitted out with everything you would need. Shared washer/dryer/iron available in the building.
