À fuir absolument ! Accueil glacial, confort inexistant : TV hors service, douche sans pression, mobilier vétuste avec odeur de moisi persistante, saleté sous les lits. Publicité mensongère concernant la situation sois-disant près du centre de Menaggio. Accès plus que pénible : 30 minutes de montée infernale à pieds. Voisin intrusif (habitant de la villa?) qui photographie nos affaires personnelles ( un paréo posé sur une chaise sur la terrasse) et nous l’envoie pour dire que c’est interdit et qu’on doit lire le règlement. Règlement intérieur oppressant, aucune souplesse, aucune chaleur. Un lit fait pour 2 voyageurs, il a fallu insister pour obtenir des draps supplémentaires . Et tout ça pour 258,75€ par nuit!

Villa Bel Faggio Apartment could be a great place - it is a fantastic large room with an incredible ceiling in an older villa. However, we had a bit of a nightmare stay due to the issues noted below. There is a great view from the balcony - luckily we were the only guests there as it might be different when others are there. The kitchen is nice and well stocked (luckily they had very large pots to heat water on the stove in order to have hot water for a shower). The bathroom is large with 2 sinks and a big tub, but the tub/shower is not really usable since there is no water pressure (had to continue to do bucket showers even when the hot water was finally working after 2 days).

For our 4 night stay at Villa Bel Faggio Apartment we had to endure the first 48 hours without either hot water or heat (it went down into the 40's at night in April). The caretaker of the apartment 'did' offer us another Hallidis apartment on the lake, but it was a few miles away and we specially wanted to be in Menaggio as our friends from overseas were a 10 min walk away. We asked for comp for the 2 nights of no facilities (so a 50% overall discount) but were given a 17% discount instead which was really not compensating for making our stay very unpleasant. Aside from this, we were hoping that with multiple points of feedback from prior reviews that the bed (sofa-bed) and shower (no pressure) would have been taken care of. Nope. It really would take so little to put in a proper bed and have a handy-person open the valve to increase the pressure to the shower (tip to future guests - it would really help to bring a 1/2" hose to hook up to the faucet in the bathroom to have proper water flow for your shower).

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We particularly loved the peaceful garden and the beautiful view of the lake. Loveno is a great location with a couple of local restaurants and it is within walking distance of Menaggio. The studio apartment is nicely done and the ceiling is amazing.

Unfortunately, as described in some previous reviews, the water pressure for the bath was so bad - merely a trickle- so it was near impossible to bath or shower. The washing machine did not work but it was fixed towards the end of our stay. The main bed is a sofa bed - a proper bed with a thicker mattress would have been more comfortable. We stayed for 9 nights and did not want to eat out every night but the kitchen does not have much equipment. Overall, if the bath water pressure is fixed and a little more thought is given to guest comfort (electrical points, kitchen utensils, bedside light etc), this apartment could be amazing!

very beautiful place, nice and cool at night. had everything you need and owner was easily contactable.

pillows were a bit too hard and hot water a little inconsistent

- Only folding beds, no fixed bed. Overall apartment consists of one (beautiful, large) room so privacy can be a bit of an issue when travelling with people that want that (we were one family so no real issue) - No shower only bath (with shower head)
