Limassol Hestia Boutique Apartment

Location, owner’s great hospitality, utilities at the apartment, flawless air conditioning system in each room, ability to check-in earlier than scheduled, very clean bedsheets and pillows. Every kitchen utensil was working decently.

Tidiness — rooms weren’t properly cleaned, hair and big humps of dust were all over the door hinges and the balcony doors rails - that was disgusting. The balcony’s conditions is not maintained, a clothes drying hanger is unavoidably broken. UK type oultlets everywhere - not enough amount of UK-EU 220V travel adapters- luckily the owner Vangelis gave some more of them.

The location was close to the sea and local cafes and restaurants. The flat was spacious.

The building was opposite a car park where local youths raced all night in motorbikes, making it impossible to sleep. Reception was impossible to find. The entrance was grotty and unkept. Only one lift worked. The lift does not take the weight it stipulates causing us be locked in for 10 minutes on our first night. The beds were the worst I’ve seen. You could feel the mattresses’ wiring. The sheets and towels looked dirty and we had to request a change as nobody checked if we needed anything. I would not recommend this flat to anyone.

Right next to the beach with lovely clear water, close to shops and cafes, spacious, good facilities, owner was flexible with our late arrival time.

Cleanliness - overall it was clean but some parts had been ignored (dirty mirror, rubbish left in drawers, lots of dust behind toilet door). Mattresses were hard and the springs dug in to us - we ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge. It’s on a main road so noisy in the morning Monday-Friday and some loud cars racing past at night on weekends too.

It could have been cleaner, it only had one shower, the elevator/stairs were very old. In general it was a very old fashioned place.
