Everything was fantastic, the villa is self is beautiful. I highly recommend! Host brought us food, curry and Coffee spontaneously during our stay which was lovely.

Host did ask us for additional payment regarding electricity after check in, wanting 500 LKR a night. This did feel slightly rude as there was plenty of time to mention this prior to our arrival. Although this may be just how we interpret it due to our western customs. We traveled via motorbike, if you didn’t have your own transport it is a fair walk to get a tuk tuk - not a negative but keep that in mind. Outside of that small detail, it was truely a fantastic stay.

"Fantastic stay among the paddy fields with a wonderful family."

This stay is exactly why we travel, to experience different cultures, foods and lifestyle. We loved waking up to the sound of birds, peacocks and sometimes monkeys. Then opening the doors to have a coffee while watching the many shades of greens. We loved the care and hospitality Erandi and her family provided. Their children are adorable and their mother cooks beautifully. The location is great, being 5 mins scooter drive or 15mins walk to the main surf spots and restaurants. However it also feels a world away when needed.
