Panorama Studios & Apartments

Lovely owner who accommodated our request for an early check in and also helped us with the bus timetable. The apartment was modern and well appointed with a beautiful view. We will be returning for sure.

Nice decor, really comfortable bed, spacious & clean. Location was really good.

Kitchen cooking facilities could be a little bit better, there is an electric hob with a medium and small plate, microwave, kettle & toastie maker. Additional hobs or an oven would offer more choices of what can be cooked.

The studio is functional, spacious and attractively decorated. There is absolutely no lost space. We were able to store our empty suitcases on top of the wardrobe and there was enough room for the baby bed. The bed was comfortable (but on the soft side). The range of pillows meant everyone was happy. The studio is fitted with some of the best fly/mosquito screens I've seen! They were easy to use and meant that we could have the windows open in the evening without worrying about getting bitten at night. Daily cleaning and rubbish removal was convenient and a nice bonus - as we had the space of an apartment but with the added luxury of not having to take care of these things ourselves. Our host, Fotini worked hard to make sure everything about our stay was to our liking. She even found us a high chair for our baby to use. Unfortunately when we arrived there was loud construction work going on right in front of the studios. Fotini was in communication with local authorities to ensure the work was only done during authorised hours and luckily a few days after we arrived the work stopped until our last day. She also brought us a lovely cake to enjoy on the Feast Day of St Fanourios. There is a dedicated clothes line outside which was very useful. August was very humid and without much wind so we found we needed to dry our beach towels on the railing in the sun to actually get them dry.

The things we didn't like were things that did not meet our expectations for this price point (except for the noise which is unchangeable given the location). We were expecting the kitchen to be better equipped, for example with a range of utensils and knives for preparing food. We asked for a vegetable peeler and a knife for cutting vegetables (which were both delivered promptly) but we were expecting these things to be standard. The stove is a single portable electric hotplate (with a small single-temperature hot plate for making Italian style coffee). There was 1 salad bowl and 1 large plate for serving. We stayed for 15 nights so were often cooking. The tap in the kitchen sprayed everywhere - which is a problem easily remedied. While the air conditioner functions very well it is old and quite noisy. The display on the remote control was very difficult to read. We were in the Junior Suite on the 1st level - there is a street light which shines into the room during the night because the studio is fitted with a traditional Greek door, which has a window in the centre of it. While our host provided a piece of black out material we had to stick the material to the door with tape, and had to tape up the material during the day so we could make sure of this source of light. It would be so much more practical (and much more attractive!) to install a small curtain rod on the back of the door so that the curtain could be permanently installed. The studio is located near a big hill, and as the island is home to many many scooters, older vehicles and motorbikes, a great deal of noise is generated as people ride up the hill. This is just an unfortunate fact given the location. If you are very sensitive to noise and wish to spend a lot of time enjoying the view of Telendos it may become very tiresome.
