Die Aussicht über Montreux und den See ist traumhaft. Die Burg hat charme. Die Wohnung war sauber und gepflegt.

Leider hatte es um die Burg viel Abfall, vermütlich von Mietern der Wohnungen. Die kleinen Nischen, um draussen zuverweilen sind stark verwachsen mit vielen Pflanzen. Die Räume auf den Bildern der Wohnung sehen grösser und luxuriöser aus.

If I'm perfectly honest, we weren't able to stay in Château du Châtelard. Unfortunately, the day before the hosts let us know that there was an issue at the property and offered us a refund or an alternative accommodation. We took the alternative accommodation and instead stayed in the Tour d'Ivoire. This actually ended up being so, so much better for us in our first visit to Montreux. We did visit the Château during our stay and it looked absolutely incredible - I think we will definitely book to go there again. But we were so grateful to the hosts for helping us out. We know unexpected issues happen and we are thankful that the hosts were so accommodating.

Die Aussicht und die Lage waren traumhaft. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten und hervorragend ausgestattet. In einem Schloss übernachten zu dürfen, verleiht dem Aufenthalt zudem einen ganz besonderen Zauber.

Es war etwas kühl in den Zimmern, was jedoch dem historischen Charakter des Schlosses geschuldet ist. Durch die fehlende Isolation lässt sich die Temperatur naturgemäß nicht so leicht erhöhen.

Die Lage war wirklich unglaublich toll.

I would have liked to get my gardening gloves and spruced the pots and bbq area
