South Downs Studio - bijou hikers hideaway

Fantastic location if you are eager to walk the South Downs Way or see Beachy Head. Very well thought out facilities in the studio - everything you need has been thought of. Particularly liked the foxes wandering past our door at twilight from the back-garden! Exceptionally quiet neighbourhood - very peaceful. Lovely part of Eastbourne, Meads High St nearby (15mins walk) with 2 small supermarkets & restaurants & cafés. You can walk the length of the seaside Promenade from Holywell into town, where there is a bustling centre. When we bumped into our hosts they were very friendly and engaging, with lots of local knowledge to share and keen to find out if there was anything lacking (which there wasn't).

With full rucksacks, it's a bit of a walk from the rail station (40+mins) , a lot of which was up very steep hills - would get a taxi next time.

Ideal for a last minute getaway - gave me the space and clarity I needed. Beautifully simple, sweet and spotless. Thank you for the thoughtful little touches x

Lovely high spec apartment. Spacious, albeit one room. Well equipped. Strong shower. Good kitchen equipment. Massive comfy bed. Quiet neighbourhood. Good temperature.

Nothing. Be aware a good 30-40 mins walk from Eastbourne up hill back. Plenty of buses and taxis. Therefore easy to park and drive out to visit places.
