Location good. Plenty of self catering facilities.

No courtesy shower gel or shampoo provided which would have been nice. Also, it doesn't appear to be stated in booking that it is purely self catering. I was expecting the same courtesy provisions as in a b&b. Also, the small room was cluttered with two large heavy armchairs which left little space to move.

"Very pleasant second stay here, hope to return in Aug but can’t book ahead of time until aunt has a date for a medical a"

Lovely roses all around the property. Washing machine & therapeutic baths. Clean & tidy. Stuff available like ironing board, clothes airer, pegs, laundry pod for the washing machine, kettle, toaster, cooker, microwave. Plenty of parking, internet … Nearby garage/shop in Shavington, next village, useful for food for return home & Co-op in same village also useful :) 3 aspects/windows to The Hayloft which is nice.

No cold water in kitchen sink, no hot water in bathroom sink. Was it a problem for me? No. Gorgeous baths.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Did everything to make the stay comfortable, even driving French guests to local fish and chips shop.

"Very pleasant stay & hope to rebook 3 more nights in June :)"

Very clean, comfortable & cosy with lovely sunset views (& 180° views just outside the door up in The Hayloft). Good clear instructions, friendly & non-intrusive hosts, lovely atmosphere.

"Really good weekend with family."

Hosts and location really good. Lovely cottages with good facilities.

I wasn't keen on the steps leading up to the studio called hayloft. Certainly anyone infirm Could not manage those steps. Very conscious that I could fall down them Also the water pressure on the showers in swallow and barn cottage was very weak. My daughter's and children struggled to get washed.

"Adequate cosy accommodation for 2 people but stay spoilt by reasons previously mentioned."

7.0

The location was rural. It served a purpose for what was needed for 5 nights. It was well equipped for a small property.

The location, although rural, suffered from traffic noise from the nearby main road which was disturbing at night. The hot water pressure was poor which meant it was difficult to shower and took ages to run a bath if that option was preferred. The TV had no instruction manual and was found to be difficult to operate and picture break up occurred frequently. The batteries in the TV remote needed changing and we left a note by the TV to inform owner of this. The mattress could have been better. There was no room thermostat to control the heating which only seemed to come on twice a day and was only controllable by thermostatic valve on the only radiator. The door from the main room to the bathroom squeaked badly and a mirror loosely hung over the door rattled when the door was opened or closed. This was a problem at night as it disturbed the person not using the bathroom. Finally the metal stairs leading up to the "Hayloft" apartment were very steep and not recommended for older people.
