La Belle Etoile

We were visiting from the US. The hosts showed great kindness and hospitality. Simple accommodation, but exactly as advertised.

We had a perfect stay at La Belle Étoile, which provided tranquility in nature for my family. The friendly staff and peaceful location created an ideal environment to recharge and escape the stress and noise pollution of urban life. The stunning view of the water dam and the breathtaking starry sky at night enhanced our experience. We also enjoyed homemade meals prepared by the lady of the house, which added an authentic touch. Additionally, we had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, spending time along the lake coast, visiting Ouazzane during Eid, and discovering the lush greenery of the nearby hills. I highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse with an incredible view of the dam right from the room. Watching the sunset and sunrise was truly a serene experience, and the peaceful atmosphere made it even more special. The owner was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was a delicious touch, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

The only thing to note is that the GPS directions can be tricky—be sure to stop just before the petrol station and take the road to the left, or call the host once you reach the station for clearer directions.

Finding the access road was tricky and we wasted an hour going back and forth. Don’t follow google maps And it’s not the road that’s right next to the petrol station either. It’s a little way before you reach the petrol station when approaching from the south. If you’re looking up at a smooth but steep concreted road, that’s the one you want. If it’s muddy, rocky or unpacked at all then it’s wrong and don’t attempt. The owners should have a sign at the bottom of the access road!!!! Food was okay although for dinner we ordered a vegetarian tagine and we were surprised to find meat when we opened the lid. We’re not ones to fuss and just fed it to the stray dog who was more than happy.

The view over the lake directly from the room was beautiful, I could see the sun rise over the lake while still sitting in my bed. The owners were very helpful and I enjoyed the local breakfast and fresh bread.

The nature and views, quite relaxing Organic Moroccan food , the hosts were perfect service . Please take care of my favourite cat ( naughty cat ) i called her Kitty
