Garden Room

Very clean place with excellent facilities, I highly recommend this place

A comfortable apartment close to facilities and near where I wanted to go.

The bed could have been a little bigger.

The apartment was wonderfully clean, roomy and very well appointed. The shower room was very large, with a good powerful and hot shower, once it warmed up. The bed was comfortable enough, the coffee and tea, fresh milk in the fridge and microwave were all useful touches (although I didn't use the latter) with mugs, plates, cutlery, etc. Lee was very friendly and helpful, although I didn't need much. The small patio area outside was nice on a warm evening, ideal for drying some damp clothes from diving. The TV was a reasonable size, although not ideally placed to watch from bed. There was a comfortable chair in a good position, though, and I used that. Overall, I was very impressed with the Garden Room's facilities, cleanliness and size and Lee's helpfulness. There are pubs and a Tesco Express in easy walking distance. Free off-road parking was another big bonus, although the person who claimed it was a 10-15 minute walk to Plymouth centre must be an Olympic walking champion! I walk regularly and it took me about 35 minutes, but it is doable. On the second day, I caught the bus, which takes about 15-20 minutes from the church around the corner and only cost £2.

Location isn't great for the city centre if you're on foot and don't like or can't walk, but that's about it. To be fair, the buses are close by and fairly regular. The bed is only a, fairly roomy, single. Not a problem as I was alone, but even then I enjoy the space of a double, so it's worth knowing if that's a problem for you. It really wasn't for me and I slept well. As you can see, I'm struggling to find real negatives.
