YourHome - Casa Marina Positano

The location was in a cute little spot.

The pictures didn’t match the actual property and it was confusing because we thought we were getting the whole place not just a room.

The whole vibe . It was about 15 min bus ride to the Centro but we got to experience glimpses of rural or village life of the local community. The host Maria was absolutely exceptional .

I can say enjoyed every bit except the bus ride up the hill . It’s very squishy.

I loved that we were met at the bus and taken to the room.

The room I rented, which was the one pictured above was not the room we got. I was very disappointed because I rented it to have a view of the sea. When we arrived Maria who is a lovely person, gave us the room next to the one seen in the photo. So, I would say clarify that so you are not disappointed also.

The property is in Upper Positano and has an amazing view. It is also within walking distance to two of the best restaurants in Positano, Donna Rosa and ILRetrovo, as well as, a small grocery store. The locals were all friendly and welcoming. We did take the 1200 steps down one day and it was it for the fantastic views.

You have to bus to the property from town and there is only one bus an hour. If you miss it you wait an hour, take a cab for 50 euros or walk up the 1200 steps. The property does have two bathrooms however one is outside the kitchen. The fridge is also not a proper fridge and not large enough so you could not get groceries even for the three days we were there.

Property was clean with good amenities

The transportation was a challenge.

Marina was delightful and so helpful. When we took a wrong turn in Positano, she kindly redirected us and waited almost two hours to meet us. Then She directed us to a restaurant where we had our favorite meal. Casa Sansonne was so comfortable with amazing views. A real taste of Italy!

It was really nice that she let us check in early when we arrived earlier than the stated checkout time.

This was the priciest place we stayed on our trip.

The host Marina was very kind and friendly. The room was excellent and clean. We were able to eat oranges directly from the tree. A parking place to our car was next to Casa Marina. We had a pleasant stay in Casa Marina!

Clean, well appointed and stocked, excellent care personally by owner. Beautiful view and architecture.

I had to push the flush calve a few times to get the toilet to flush.
