"Overall, a beautiful stay. Thankyou so much!"

9.0

The apartment was fully equipped with every thing we needed, it was lovely and spacious, and the terrace was really beautiful to watch the sunset every night! the apartment is located on the Fornillo side, but it only takes about 20 minutes to walk down to the main beach if following the main road (avoiding the steps !) or about 15 using the stairs down by Da Vincenzo. it was a beautiful stay and the host and her son was so lovely and helpful! would definitely return.

the beds were a bit uncomfortable

"A wonderful home away from home in beautiful Positano"

9.0

Manuela sent us very comprehensive instructions on how to get to the apartment from the ferry, which was really helpful and appreciated because the port area is mayhem. We walked up to the bus stop and caught the interno bus, then carried our bags down the stairs to the apartment. It was manageable for us but we are young and relatively fit, if you have any mobility issues I would recommend organising the porters. The host's son Andrea met us when we checked in, he was very helpful and friendly. Location is fab - you can walk down to Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo easily (walking back up is not so easy! I always took the road for a more enjoyable experience). You can also easily walk further up the main road to a great viewpoint of Positano (and a delicious limoncello spritz from the van!). There are quite a few nice restaurants and coffee spots nearby, also the bus stop is just up from the apartment (about 40 steps) which was very handy. I caught the bus from here to Nocelle to do the Path of the Gods walk, we also caught the bus to Sorrento from here at the end of our stay. We loved the balcony and spent a lot of time enjoying meals, a drink and relaxing on the sunloungers out there, even when it rained. The air conditioner worked well and if you open all the doors it will cool every room down. We didn't need to use it too much, at night it was better to open up the windows and let in the breeze. We cooked meals in the kitchen, we found everything we needed and the dishwasher was great as it meant we didn't have to waste vacation time washing dishes. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, it was also great to be able to do some washing as this was the middle of our trip. We liked being a bit further out of the main part of town, it was always nice to come back to our quiet apartment at the end of a busy day fighting the crowds.

The apartment could have been cleaner, just minor things, we think maybe the housekeeper ending up rushing as we arrived about an hour early to drop our bags and decided to sit on the balcony and wait rather than head back out into the Summer heat. We told her not to hurry but this is possibly why a few things were missed. There were two chests of drawers in the double single bed room but only 2 or 3 drawers were available to use - it would be great to have a bit more storage space so people can unpack their luggage for longer stays. The wifi was a bit patchy, but when it connected it worked well.

"Great house with amazing views and respectful and helpful host."

10.0

This property and host were amazing. Incredible views and once we got our head around the roading system in Positano it was easy. Manuela was quick with assistance, especially on our final day when the ferry was cancelled and she had us booked on a taxi immediately to Naples for a fraction over the cost of the ferry. The house was perfect for our family. Good seperation when needed and great mini mart and cafe less than a minute away. Easy walk down to the water and simple bus ride back up at the end of your day for only 1.3 euro.

Our stay was 100% perfect.

"Gorgeous views, amazing deck, many restaurants and market close by. Wonderful hosts!"

8.0

Our hosts, Manuela and Andre were fantastic and so so helpful throughout our stay. Had waters waiting for us in the fridge on arrival which was appreciated after our trek up to the property. Andre, Manuela’s son checked us in and helped us with any questions we had. Kitchen was well-equipped and it was so nice to have a washing machine to do some laundry. Loved the spacious deck and the gorgeous views! Decent size bedrooms and bathrooms. A/C was pretty powerful, but there was only one only in main kitchen/living area but since the house is fairly small, it does cool down the entire home if you keep the bedroom doors open. Quite a few good restaurants and mini markets within walking distance from the house which was great! Posides cafe for breakfast is a must-do as well as Saraceno d’Oro for delicious pizza. Also, the interno bus which goes around the city drops off and picks up very close by the property.

The beds and bedding were not very comfortable. Americans are all about their sleep so when on vacation it is SO IMPORTANT to have a decent night’s sleep. My suggestion would be to consider investing some money in great quality softer mattresses, pillows and sheets! Also, the coffeemaker could use an update. Everything else was good. About the location: while gorgeous views from the property, the description states 950 ft. From beach is “as the crow flies.” Do not be misled, as it is quite a hike. There is a bus called Interno, but fills up quick (especially in summer) so we ended up walking back up the hills and stairs to the property a few times. That part is a bit daunting (especially in July!) but it was probably good for us since our diet consisted mainly of pizza and pasta! If you don’t mind the possibility of walking back and forth then you will probably be fine.
