Seva's House

We made a stop here for three nights on our way from the airport to a big hotel on the south of the island. The property fully met our purpose. The apartment feels very spacious and light, especially the main room with a well-equipped kitchen line. I can also praise a good and precise description of the property on booking.com. The air conditioning does its job very well. The locality is very quiet and, at the same time, very central in the village. The central square with some shops and a few good restaurants (including our favorite Smaragd) is just in a two-minute walk past a nice old church. There is also a safe private parking place just by the house (however, be ready to drive through a narrow place to reach the parking; it is not extremely difficult, just don't hurry). If you miss anything in the house, don't hesitate to ask the owners for the help, they are nice and responsive people (we asked Seva for blankets since we felt uncomfortable without them under AC, and she brought them to us). It was also very nice of the owners that they patiently waited for us till the late night on the first day (our flight was delayed, and we also got some problems with the rented car at the airport).

As other guests wrote, a sign not to throw paper into the toilet bowl would be helpful. Maybe, the space in the main room could be more efficiently organized. One needs to rent a car to enjoy all benefits of staying in this village (to reach beaches and other interesting places).

The home ia cozy. The AC works incredibly well considering everyday was 102 to 104 degrees F. The home is exactly like it is advertised. It is private and quiet and one can walk to everything in town in 2 mins. We ate dinner every night in a different restaurant. During to the fires and heat, the electricity went out all over town as we finished our meals. Our hosts brought us candles and there is an emergency light in the house. The parking is easy. Because we traveled light, we used the excellent washing machine which was very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were good. If one is not ished to throwing ones toilet paper in a bin, one must do that here as one does all over Greece. Hopefully, the hosts will put a sign in bathroom to remind people to do this. We had to ask as we had come from Athens and the sign only indicated no sanitary napkins. Overall, my family and I would stay here again without a doubt. Seva's family are WONDERFUL checking in in us. We were very comfortable.

No sign over the toilet to let us know to throw away toilet paper in the bin and not I the toilet. A torch/ flashlight or two would have been helpful for those who do not travel with those items. We do, so not a problem..

SEVA was a wonderful host, very helpful and offering to make everything perfect. The apartment is very big and it was a delight to have lounge room after months of hotel rooms. The bed is so comfortable. The village is very friendly, people are welcoming, generous and want to engage with you. I arrived not realising a car would be the only mode of transport and I didn’t have one. I thought there would be more bus options. So I spent a lot of time walking around the area and enjoying the nature and village life. The cafes are varied and a fun little cafe and bar was my favourite. It was a great place to rest from my travels. If you have a car you are so close to many places and that would be perfect.
