Apartment Royal Residence

The location is excellent right in the centre of the city and in easy reach of the old town, cafes and restaurants.

Don't be misled by the modern appearance of the photos—those images are likely 5 to 10 years old. The property is showing clear signs of neglect, with significant wear and tear throughout. Drawers and cupboard doors don’t function properly, and there are noticeable cracks and peeling units. One of the biggest disappointments was the balcony. Although we specifically chose the property to enjoy the large balcony in the evenings, the seating provided was unusable. It consisted of a super low plastic garden set that was filthy, making it impossible to enjoy the outdoor space. However, the most significant issue was the general lack of cleanliness. The apartment was covered in dust, the sofas and blankets were musty, and the cupboards contained dust, dead insects, and even old food and toiletries. There were used, worn cleaning sponges left in both the bathroom and kitchen, which is a shocking disregard for hygiene. Also the toilet seat was broken. The balcony was also filthy, covered in dirt and dead insects. We didn’t feel comfortable using it or hanging laundry outside, especially since the clothes horse was half-broken and covered in cobwebs and flies. While the bedding provided was clean, the pillows were old and extremely lumpy. The cutlery tray in the kitchen had dirt and hair inside, and the kitchen cupboards were greasy and dirty. To make matters worse, on two of the three days we stayed, we were woken up at 6 a.m. by demolition and drilling from the apartment above, where renovations were taking place. Although we informed the host, they simply apologized and made no effort to address the issue. Overall, our stay was extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the money. There are plenty of better options in Sarajevo with clean accommodations and considerate hosts. Avoid this place!

The location was central and the apartment was large as per my booking

- The recommended parking was a very long hot walk from the apartment. - The lift to reception staff is modern - the lift to the apartment is challenging in that its very dated and does not feel safe ( eventhough it might be) - The apartment is modern cica 1990’s. The sofas and rugs also with the kitchen needs a deep clean. - The bed linen and bed is uncomfortable. - The fridge had not been properly defrosted since Christmas,?, in that the ice Box was unusable. The receptionionst thought that it could be fixed next morning as she does not realise that the whole unit would have to be defrosted which would leave us without cool drinks. - Finally, and most frustratingly, the Aircon was a loud piece of rubbish which did nothing. The receptionists response was nothing more than a shrug. Not Happy!

Doorknob of one bedroom and bathroom were broken.

Everything was good, modern apartment, really clean and view was fantastic.
