Nice views. Very nice to wind down and relax.

There’s no shops nearby. The drive is about 12kms away to the nearest shop and the road is gravel. I used a hatch back and i would strongly recommend a SUV or bakkie with high profile tyres. When I Checked in the reception didn’t bother to check if everything was fine. No one checked to see if we were okay over the weekend. The instructions to check in is totally wrong compared to what we experienced. The gas heater ran out of gas on Saturday night and it was extremely cold. The hot water is barely hot so that means cold baths in this cold weather. There is almost no cellphone reception and there is no WiFi option.

It is in a beautiful area just outside of Underberg town. We stayed in Protea Cabin and it was sufficient space for 2 people. We wanted to bring our dog with and they allowed it, however last minute had a change of plans, we appreciated that it is a pet friendly place though. With it being winter and super cold, we were very thankful for an electric blanket on the bed and a gas heater to keep us warm in the evening.

The photos showed a microwave, there wasn't one in our cabin, I do recommend that there be one as with it being winter, everything gets cold very quickly and would have been nice to be able to reheat in the microwave rather than try on the gas stove all the time. There was a leak in the toilet but the owners were very helpful in trying to sort it out.

Lovely, peaceful place to disconnect and relax. Our cabin was comfortable and we loved the big bath with the forest view

The mattress needs replacing

The view was amazing, very peaceful place and lots of things to do in the area, friendly owners and staff

Minor things like the one electric blanket didn’t work, only one room had a double bed
