The caretaker was very helpful, and kept us updated about load shedding times, The location was perfect, we could walk to restaurants, and they have a lovely big swimming pool area.

The mattress needs to be replaced. It is like sleeping in a hammock with mattress springs poking your back.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Manzini Chalets. The chalet is small, quaint and fully equipped to have everything you need to enjoy a short stay in St Lucia. We appreciated the cookware the most as it was very decent cookware and with it being self catering we cooked for ourselves every morning and evening. Jaeney who met us and handed over the keys was very friendly and exceptionally helpful, especially in showing us the various maps kept in the chalet, the nearby activities, where we could book tours etc. The parking is secure and there are security guards 24/7 which set our minds at ease. We were provided with extra water for the cistern for load shedding which we were grateful for. Despite a rocky start with dirty crockery, the rest of the chalet was spotless, clean sheets, bedding and towels all provided. The chalet is airconditioned but my highlighted feature was the remote controlled fan and light, which I loved and am now intent on putting one in my own home! The location is great, its on the main road and is nearby to both the cultural stalls / market on one side and on the other is the way to do the hippo and croc tours (4pm is the best tour to take!) It's safe, you can walk at night to and from the many restaurants in the area. We ate at Barracca one evening (Highly recommend their Schnitzel), drinks are a little on the expensive side but they do also have a wide range of cocktails and their mojito is the best ive ever had. There is a Shoprite and Spar further down the road, some clothing stores, outdoor stores and a pharmacy - basically everything at your fingertips Would definitely consider coming back if wifi was installed

The write up and description of the property for its listing is inaccurate and misleading. The photos, however, are accurate. It is not an apartment, these are self catering chalets, this is actually written on the wall on the entrance into the property. There are not satellite channels there is one channel. The "dining area" is a nook/counter that runs from the kitchen against the wall with barstools (there is no dining area). There is no terrace with river views, this is at the end of the property. There is no private pool, there is a communal pool for the residents and holiday makers staying at the chalets. There is no "outdoor fireplace", there is a small steel braai on the patio. The main bed needs to be changed out desperately, it is extremely well worn. We were only provided 2 brown sugar sachets and 2 coffee sachets, for a stay of 4 days (and this chalet fits 4 people) Luckily we brought our own, but do not expect to get tea, sugar or coffee - bring your own! Similarly we were only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for a stay of 4 days and for a chalet that fits 4 people. This also didn't matter too much as we bought our own, but just FYI (especially if you accidently drink the water and get sick) Buy bottled water! There is no wifi, id highly recommend the owners install wifi asap. This is a dealbreaker for both holiday makers, especially out of country tourists who use wifi for everything and families with kids who use it to entertain them We also had a couple run in's with our holiday'ing neighbours swearing and screaming at each other, however this is something that the owner cant control, but should be kept in mind, that the patios of the chalets are barely separated. So it is definitely not private.

l liked the peacefulness and how well manicured the complex was lovely and clean and a sparkling clean pool.

No comfy chair to sit on a carpet would be nice at side of bed in winter. An instruction manual for stove and tv would be nice. Shower head kneads cleaning out with vinegar or bicarbonate of soda then it would spray nicely and the temperature of your water needs turning down it is red hot the minute you turn on tap. Otherwise all good.
