The apartment was great. I appreciated the kitchen with an electric kettle. A little inside yard was adorable. The host is very welcoming and nice. A bit far from Ortigia island if you walk. There was always a possibility to find a parking spot in the closest vicinity.

Tap water in Syracuse seems salty even when labelled potable. Not the apartment's problem, just good to know.

"Nice and comfortable apartment close to Ortigia"

Everything was great - Carmelo is a very nice host, he welcomed us with a fresh bread and took a proper care of us. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, we could use coffee and othe products stored in the kitchen. AC/heater worked ok, the bed was comfy. We had a nice stay!

There is only one small window in the apartment. For us it wasn’t an issue as we travelled in February when days were short and rather cloudy.

Carmelo was very welcoming and gave us good information about Syracuse. Very responsive and it was easy to check-in and out. We had all we needed to cook and appreciated having some store-cupboard ingredients which helps when travelling light.

"Great value for the price, super nice host"

Our host was super nice, even as we were a bit late to get the keys and he came over at 10 PM one night without a word because a fuse blew out and we lost electricity. The place is a clean, spacious apartment with a full kitchen and dining area, super comfortable if you don't want to eat out all the time. Location is also nice - safe and close to the old town. Also, free parking in front of the house!
