Ortigia Castel Maniace

The location was really calm and close to restaurants without being noisy or crowded. It looks just like the pictures.

It was an amazing stay for 5 days in Siracusa. Barbara was very friendly and tried to help us as much as possible during our stay. The location was pretty central but not in a noisy area in Ortigia, so it was quiet but all the tourist attractions were not far from the place. The place had all the things we needed - coffee, toaster, kitchen utensils and washing machine!! I really recommend this place for staying in Ortigia.

Only the bed was a bit smelly, which doesn't mean that it was dirty. I think due to the humidity, the blankets and pillows smelled a bit odd. Other than that, everything was great.

Very nice location at the very end of the island, just a few steps from Castello Maniace. Quiet cul-de-sac street so no accidental passer-by. Good restaurants and drink bars around, both sunrise and sunset view points just few steps away. The apartment is spacious enough to feel comfortable, there is everything you need for a short stay, kitchenware, ironing equipment, washing machine, and plenty of coffee, which I truly appreciated in early mornings. The communication with the owner was very smooth, he responded almost immediately to all our inquiries and was very flexible.

The apartment was far from the cleanest place on Earth, there was dust on the trunk and on the floor in corners, I also did not trust the cleanness of the dishes, fridge was not properly wiped either. The blue table and chairs outside were dirty, had to wipe them myself. Shower was leaking making the floor around it wet after each use. I would also make a proper shelf for cosmetics within the shower cabin, because one that is mounted there won't hold anything heavier than sponge. You have to put your shampoo/body wash on the floor and bend for it, which is not easy because the cabin is small.

Such a cute apartment in a great location in the old town - central yet tucked quietly tucked away. We had a brilliant and comfortable stay, there was everything we needed. Great communications from the host who came to rescue us with a smile when we stupidly locked ourselves out (tip : leave one of the keys in the keysafe to avoid such incident !). Altogether a lovely stay - we really loved the apartment, and Ortigia Island generally. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cosy studio appartment very quiet, located near the coast and one step away from everything. Clean large room with comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen, a bottle of mineral water in the fridge for us, and plenty of coffee pods for the coffe breakfasts. We will definitly come back.
