Unfassbar nette Gastgeber. Sehr großzügig in so vielen liebevollen Kleinigkeiten.

Het is een prachtig verbouwde fabriek met nog heel veel originele features. Het is groot (groter dan een gemiddeld amsterdams appartement)en licht met veel uiteenlopende kunst. De eigenaar is een bekende kunstenaar. Het bed is heerlijk. Wij bleven maar 1 nacht maar het is meer dan perfect om een week te verblijven. We kregen een geweldige tip voor een bijzonder restaurant. Een verborgen parel dus ik ga t hier niet verklappen. Mocht je boeken vraag er dan naar bij Sasha en Sandrine.

Er zijn geen klachten. Misschien handig om te vermelden dat het zwembad op de fotos het uitzicht is vanuit het appartement maar zich bevindt op het priveterrein van de familie. Dus niet toegankelijk voor gasten.

The apartment was large enough.

Situated in an outer, quieter part of Solingen, the loft apartment was something else; spacious, luxurious and comfortable. Very well-equipped and that rarity in self-catering accommodation — sharp knives! TV with smart apps like Netflix was available, so I had options in the evening. A fantastic bean to cup coffee machine as well as very new appliances meant catering for myself was easy. Underfloor heating was a nice touch as it meant the polished concrete floors weren't too cold. Finish this off with a very comfortable bed, and it really was a great place to stay. And at about the same price as a mid-range tourist hotel, the value for money cannot be understated. The place is filled with design touches and, of course, Sascha's art, which is bold and beautiful. The family lives in another part of the building and his studio is on the ground level, so you can get a peak at what he's working on!

The only small issue was the shower situation, which I did raise with the owners. As the bathroom is a wet room style and the shower uses a slot type drain, the bathroom flooded on arrival when I took a shower. A large squeegee is provided, but it meant the first 5 minutes after finishing a shower was spent trying to prevent the water from reaching the rest of the apartment. Lesson learned, I showered a slightly different way for the rest of my stay to try to minimise this. it was the only small negative in an otherwise superlative stay. It is this that prevents the stay being a 10 out of 10.

EVERYTHING!!!! It's so excellent that I want to keep it a secret so that it's available when we are in town 😄 It is the best experience that I've had since the George Cinq in Paris, back in the late 1970's. If I was visiting Barcelona, I'd stay here and fly daily. A superlative yes, but you know when something just hits the mark. Even though we just met, the hosts are like old friends. We will talk about our experience here forever, or until our return!

That the place is so nice, that I want to just spend the whole day inside...but alas I can't. 😢 Also that the day came where we had to leave. What did I do to deserve this?

One of the most beautiful properties I have been lately. Clean and spacious, equipped with all the important amenities, quiet neighbourhood. The owners were very helpful with everything.
