Archè Apartment

Laura, de host, is erg vriendelijk. Ze nam uitgebreid de tijd om ons alles uit te leggen en ons de weg te wijzen in Taormina zelf. En ook tijdens ons verblijf was ze via app makkelijk bereikbaar en bereid met alle vragen te helpen. Verder is het appartement ruim van opzet. We waren met 2 volwassenen en 2 pubers en iedereen had voldoende ruimte. Wel heeft 1 van de kinderen op de slaapbank in de woonkamer geslapen omdat het tweede bed te klein was voor beiden kinderen. Dat ging prima. De airco hangt in de woonkamer maar met de deuren van de slaapkamers open is het hele appartement lekker koel.

Wat jammer was, was dat ons terrasje in de volle (ochtend) zon lag, dus lekker ontbijtje buiten ging niet. Het was er bloedheet.

Air condition is only in the living room, not in the bedrooms. There must be a large glass container somewhere nearby. The sound of breaking bottles stopped after midnight and started before 7. Even with the windows closed, it will wake you up.

the main larger bedroom should have the large queen size bed. As a couple we could not fit on the double bed and the matress was very uncomfortable. We moved into the queen size bed in the second smaller bed room. We had to transfer all the sheets across to the queen size bed as it was not made. We did experience a lot more noise in the second bedroom however from neighbouring people who sat on the outdoor table near the second bedroom window in the early hours to smoke and talk very loudly. The queen size bed should be moved into the larger bedroom to avoid all this trouble.

An amazing house in an amazing garden with amazing houses around in a peaceful location and a lovely sea view. Laura is so lovely and kind to give us essential touristic informations about Taormina. The location, the light coming from windows and the feeling of the house is so serene made me wanna spend more time in it. Beds are very comfy. The kitchen is very well equipped. Every item in it is selected thoughtfully.

It is a charming old building with a nice interior patio with beautiful palm trees and plants and it is very quiet, you do not have neighbors above you and it is next to the main street but in a quiet street. It is spacious.The bathroom is fine and the double room with bamboo is very nice. The house was very clean and the sofa an bed are very comfortable.Laura was very kind and gave us good advice on places to visit, roads, restaurants, beaches, etc., thank you Laura!!!

The modern decoration table,chairs and sofa do not fit with that beautiful and old building. The kitchen has a furniture in a very bad position that makes it difficult to open the door making the kitchen seem smaller. Delay in answering Booking's messages. The manager answered our messages the day before our arrival, causing us to worry .

The apartment is central although a higher climb from the main street than the photos suggest. The bedroom was tired, kitchen and bathroom could do with updating, the shower cubicle is exceptionally small and water pressure poor. Owner had been very helpful but due to a signal loss on my phone, we couldn't locate the apartment. Laura had to come and meet us and she was extremely annoyed, rude and condescending. She gave no consideration to the fact that we had been travelling for hours, were tired, and had been traipsing around in the heat after a fair uphill walk from the bus terminus, carting luggage asking for directions. If I hadn't already paid, I would not have stayed.
