Splendida Casa A Taormina " Casa di Anna "

Location was fantastic and apartment was clean and well equiped. Great recommendations from Ramon who greeted us at the apartment and the Signora Anna, the owner, kept in contact to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Highly recommend this apartment in Taormina.

Anna was lovely and very easy to communicate with over text. We got lost trying to find the place for the first time but Ramon came and found us and guided us through the next steps with ease. The apartment is adorable and has absolutely everything you need--we especially loved having a washing machine. The air conditioning worked really well and keeps the apartment really cool. The location is fantastic and close to the Villa Comunale which has a a great playground and views of Mt. Etna (those are the ocean views you see in the photos--the view from the apartment balcony are of the street, and are also gorgeous). The salumeria across the street makes the best sandwiches and has the all basic grocery items you will need. We drove so Anna instructed us to park in California Garage which is a 5 min walk from the apartment (because regular cars are not allowed in the narrow streets by the apartment). If you follow the google maps walking directions from the garage it will take you a way that involves stairs. I recommend instead turning right on Via di Giovanni and going around the long way instead of turning right onto Via Calapitrulli (like google maps says) so you can roll your bags the whole way there. Note, however you will go up one flight of stairs to the apartment.

As others have said, there are some loud things that happen early in the morning (bottle collection?), so bring ear plugs if that bothers you. I think you will probably experience that staying anywhere in the city center. It didn't bother us too much.

La posizione!

I materassi molto duri,i cuscini scomodi,gli infissi non adeguati,in quanto non riuscivano a trattenere i rumori continui notturni , sia per gli schiamazzi che per gli operatori della nettezza urbana che lavorano anche di notte.nonostante abbiamo prenotato e pagato per 2 pernottamenti,dopo la prima notte siamo andati via perché non abbiamo chiuso occhio. Abbiamo fatto sapere alla proprietaria del nostro malumore, ma senza infierire più di tanto e lasciando un soggiorno per 2 camere pagato. Invece per tutta risposta la proprietaria Anna , ci ha scritto che nessuno si era mai lamentato prima, e che non accettava consigli perche stavamo denigrazione la sua casa. La prima affermazione della signora è falsa in quanto ci sono molte recensioni simili alle nostre per gli stessi problemi. La seconda cosa che non accetta consigli; fa molto male a peccare di presunzione! In quanto se cambierebbe gli infissi fissi ed i materassi eviterebbe di farsi richiamare dai malcapitati. Ed inoltre regalerebbe un'esperienza gradevole lasciando profumo anche sul suo comportamento.

Perfect location to explore Taormina by foot. The apartment was a good size, clean and comfortable with everything we could need close by. Anna was very helpful with recommendations too. Brilliant few days with the family.

This is beautiful apartment in the centre of Taormina. You can walk everywhere from here. Also there is parking 5min walking distance where you can leave your car overnight for 25 EUR. Don't try to find the place by car. park the car and walk over. Opposite the apartment, there is wonderful small market with fresh fruit and bakery. You need 1 minute and get your shopping done and then make your coffee at home. Thank you!
