totally off the path the busy Taormina, perfefct with kids

not really "facing the sea"....

Lovely apartment, on the beach and just a 5 minute walk from Taormina Giardini station. The apartment provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay in Sicily. We loved drifting off to sleep to the sound of the waves, and waking to beautiful sunrises every morning with a Moka pot of coffee on the balcony. Book the deluxe apartment if you can. There's a handy bakery and 2 grocery stores at the end of the road. Very good takeaway pizzas from Pizza Regina towards the station. Frequent buses up the hill to Taormina. Direct trains to the new Catania Airport station in around 1 hour. Good host too!

The views from the apartment is to die for..absolutely stunning. And the house is so well decorated, you have to visit it to believe it. No photos can do justice to it

The shower experience can be improved with some renovation of the sbower cubicle and also the water temperature as it is hard to control.

Gaetano is a good host. Though we never met in person he gave us very clear instructions to reach the apartment and was very responsive to our requests. Location next to the sea with great sunrise views (also partially from our room balcony on the second floor). Close to small supermarket, bakery and eateries. Less than 200 meters from the Interbus/Etna Transporti bus stop (Lido Moraone) - buses from Catania Airport and to Taormina stop here. All amenities in good working condition as mentioned in the description. The air conditioners in the living room and the bedroom were a blessing to keep the room warm as we stayed in December.

Nothing major. The 2 flights of stairs were completely dark when we arrived and I had to coordinate with Gaetano to manually turn on the main switch. We also lost electricity in the apartment twice due to overload (AC, boiler, stove working simultaneously) and I had to go down to the street to turn it on - could have been avoided with prior information. Returning from Taormina to the apartment by bus with kids is tricky (not a concern if you have a car) - nearly 1 km road with minimal or no footpath from bus stop (Taormina-Giardini or Giardini-Municipio). Narrow parking area in front of of the apartment building and have to drive over a shallow stream.

The apartment had a wonderful spirit, we felt grateful for the opportunity to spend a wonderful time there.
