I AM Ortigia: Aretusa

Great location just outside of Ortigia. Spacious apartment. Very walkable to both old town and larger superstores. Parking was very easy relative to other cities in Sicily. Host was great and very responsive.

WiFi was very very slow. We needed up using our phone hotspot. Also had issues with the bedroom door where we ended up locked in. As others have mentioned, the apartment itself faces a courtyard and is dark even during the day, but didn’t find it much of a problem. With any issues owner was responsive.

We were a 2+2 family. A very nice place, close to the bus station and interesting places. The owner was very pleasant and told us about the area and attractions. The apartment has a washing machine, iron and air conditioning.

Location was perfect 8 minutes to train and bus station and 10 minutes to Isola di Ortigia walking

All rooms are very dark, basically no light comes in even during the day. The apartment smells stuffy and a very unpleasant smell comes from the toilet at all times!! we could smell it from the living room!! the bed is very uncomfortable too.

Good size, fully equipped kitchen, excellent aircon, very friendly service. We had a wonderful stay - thank you so much! The location is great, only a short walk to Ortigia (the old town). Also lots of great restaurants close by (less touristy and less expensive than those in the old town .) It was great having lots of space, a full equipped kitchen and the aircon was a lifesaver in Sicilys heat! The owner was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. His communication was 10/10. We would definitely stay here again.
