Relax by the Sea

ideal location close to the beach and town centre, very well equipped with lots of unexpected extras, we had a great stay and will be back without a doubt.

The sea was just a few moments' walk away. The apartment was well equipped with all the usual things and it felt spacious, which was great. The kitchen was small, but contained lots of equipment for cooking, so it would have been feasible to stay in and cook full meals - though we ate out each evening. A small selection of books was provided for reading. Additional heating was available for unexpectedly cold days. We found three excellent places to eat very close by during our three night stay - Enzo, an Italian restaurant; King Edward's for fish and chips and Jade Garden for Chinese. The nearest car park was at the station, about 5 minutes walk away, and cost £9 per day. There was a huge overflow car park, Swannery car park, just across the traffic lights from the station, also £9 per day, so there wasn't a problem finding long term parking. In fact, since parking in all the other Weymouth car parks seemed to be £15 a day, these two car parks were good value.

We'd booked the apartment partly because it advertised a sofa bed in the living room, and we'd have liked my sister to join us. Indeed, it came up on the Booking.com website as a result of a search for three adults and two rooms. However, after booking, we discovered that the bathroom was accessible only through the bedroom. This wasn't an attractive option for use during the night and my sister stayed elsewhere. On street parking is available for up to one hour and depends on finding a space. This was difficult on the day we left (a Saturday) and it was fortunate that the entrance to the flat is in Musgrave Place, a cul de sac off Crescent Street, where parking in the middle of the road to load and unload wouldn't cause much disruption.

Clean spacious great location

Excellent location. Nice size bedroom and well furnished. Had everything we needed for our short stay.

The property was beautifully presented, particularly the bedroom and the lounge, they were very plush. The location was convenient and easy to find - next to shops, amusements and pubs. It was within a short walk of the beach, which was wonderful - and great for the Summer holiday fireworks. The communication between us and the host was fantastic, very prompt with key-codes and ensuring everything with the property was ok.

The property itself was great, though there could have been a little more by way of essentials on arrival (i.e. milk) as we needed to nip out again to get some. However, shops were fairly near by so this wasn’t a huge inconvenience.
