Alpenglow Lodge Two Bedroom Apartment with Private Hot Tub by MVA

Wonderful stay for a ski vacation. About the condo: The master bedroom was a decent size, and the twin over full bunk was perfect for our tween and teen. The condo was clean and comfortable and they gave you enough coffee pods to get going bt if you are staying more than 3 days you will want to get more. The hot tub was really a nice treat after a day on the mountain--and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was very plainly stocked but we were able to make basic meals like oatmeal and pancakes for breakfast, and spaghetti for dinner. Of course there are plenty of dining options nearby if you don't feel like cooking. About the property: The shuttle for the mountain was right close by, and there is a really nice grocery store (Fresh St. Market) super close by. There is a washing machine and dryer on the ground floor-I believe it was CA$7 to wash and dry a load. There is a gym with a sauna and a steam room. Parking was easy to navigate--When we checked in, we let them know we were parking on site and they gave us a parking pass. Parking was underground, and I believe it was CA$25 a night.

The cooking pans were a little beat up, with the non-stick surfaces scratched. The kitchen utensils were sparse. A resident told us that the outdoor pool has been under construction for several years now.

The parking is very narrow, very challenging!

We liked Rebecca at the front desk. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Enjoyed the Aveda products in the bathroom as well as the shower and fireplace.

The large burner on the stove needs attention. The dining room table could be made to look nicer.

Quiet location.

I felt a little nickle and dimed staying here. I stayed on the property two years ago and using the gym, sauna, and shower after check out was no big deal. Now, it warrants a $50 fee just to have a late check out at 1pm—the latest time possible. The front desk worker gave me a dismissive, nonsensical answer that I couldn’t use the facilities after checkout because of insurance liability. When I asked a different clerk the next day, I was told I could use it but would need to use my own towel. The bed itself has a marshmallow texture that I find difficult to sleep in.
