El BALCÓN de PILAR

I'll start with Rosa-the perfect host. The best we had in years. The location is wonderful, Zaragoza's km 0, entrance in the building from the main pedestrian street. The apartment is super well equipped, did not miss a thing. Lots of (printed) info about the city and Region all over. The balcony..yes...one could fall in love with the view, most probably in warmer months it is romantic to enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by candle lights. All below listed remarks did not bother us too much, and the result is a maximum of 10 ( 9 for the apartment and 11 for Rosa)

Central location means some street noise. Like in almost all big cities. Pedestrians/drunk people/street parties etc. The Plaza and pedestrian street are cleaned (and washed) every morning. Daily pick up of garbage as well, early morning. The bedroom in very well sound insulated, the living not so much. You have to take in consideration once you rent the apartment (in case you're a "light" sleeper). The bathroom needs an upgrade, especially the tiles floor and shower tray. Maybe next year...And, yes, a bit pricey, especially once you have to pay underground parking (no street parking possible).

Warm welcome from Rosa. We loved location in the heart of the old town with amazing views of main St and the Basilica. Rosa gave us lots of useful tips and recommendations. This one bedroom comfortable apartment had everything you needed for enjoyable stay. Lots of good restaurants just steps away from the apartment. We walked to all the museums, river, tapas bars etc. easy to catch bus, tram and taxi. Wonderful.

Host was very responsive and friendly, waiting for us at the property, and she gave us many recommendations for the area. The apartment is in a great location, with beautiful views of the Cathedral. Complimentary coffee and cleaning supplies are provided.

Minor comment is that the cabinets in the bathroom are a little cluttered with many products, not leaving space for our toiletries.

Great location, had everything we needed. Rosa is an absolute delight and provided a good deal of information regarding Zaragoza. She should be a paid ambassador for the city. She put the Tourist Office to shame.

As a consequence of the great location, there can be some early morning heavy vehicle noise.

The apartment is in the middle of everything except you feel like you are sitting up on a cloud enjoying the spectacular view away from all of the crowds. Rosa was wonderful and told us all about the different places to eat and where things were.

Prefect apartment and perfect host . You feel like at home ,you have everything you need ( even different tastes of tea and coffe). We have never had such a caring and friendly host waiting for us with supper and wine ( we had very long journey with delays).The view from balcony is amazing.

The location overlooking the square with that fantastic view of the Basilica was quite incredible. Our host was very helpful and friendly. There was also really good air conditioning.

The bedding was synthetic and the pillows were just not very good. Cotton bedding and feather pillows would make this place perfect.

Rosa was absolutely fantastic and was so helpful and made our experience so much better. The view from the balcony was jaw dropping, no other words for it. The apartment was welcoming, homely and provided for all our needs. Very special.
