Apaggio di Argostoli Apartments - private parking & sea view

The apartment is delightful, and our host Pantelis was extremely welcoming and helpful, giving us useful tips and arranging car hire for us. The apartment is very well appointed, and the highlight is the south-west facing balcony, with magnificent views over the sea and mountains, and in the shade in the afternoon and evening so completely delightful for sitting out after a busy day exploring the island. There are many lovely tavernas and restaurants within easy walking distance for evening meals. Pantelis was right - you really do need a car, as the apartment is high above Argostoli and buses are very limited. The driver needs strong nerves, to navigate the numerous hairpin bends on narrow roads with steep drops almost always. We did an excellent monasteries and vineyards excursion one day with Thalassa, arranged the day before at their office near the ferry terminal; great value for money and really fun and interesting. Also not to be missed is a visit to the Melissani cave lake, but avoid days when the cruise-ship is docked in Argostoli.

The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 and was very quiet during our 7-night stay. The views from the huge balcony are stunning and the apartment had everything we needed, including very good air-conditioning units! The walk up from the town is very steep in places, this didn't bother us as we are keen walkers, but a car would be recommended for those with mobility issues, small children, or those just wanting more convenience. We found a good supermarket just above the hospital where we picked up supplies each day. There are very nice beaches within a 2km walk on the Lassi side of the hill, but our schedule meant we were unable to visit them this time. Pantelis is an excellent host and he provided a lot of advice before and during our visit - he even booked us a taxi from the airport!

Everything was perfect. Pantelis helped us with everything we needed and gives us the best recommendations about the food & places. We surely come back!

Nothing, everything was just perfect

We booked this apartment after reading the excellent reviews. . We were not disappointed the apartment was fabulous. We loved the amazing views from the balcony over the sea, the lagoon and the mountains. The apartment itself was very spacious and well equipped to cook meals etc. It was an excellent base to tour the island. We used local buses as well as hired a car for a couple of days to explore the island further. Pantelis was extremely helpful with advice on hire car, airport transfers and where to visit. The apartment is a 20 minute walk up the hill from the centre of town. You can also easily access the other side of the peninsula to some excellent beaches. We will recommend to family and friends.

This property exceeded all our expectations. We travelled with a 2 year old and there was a comfortable large cot and high chair for him. Beach toys and a parasol was available and it was a quiet area. There was everything you would need for a self catering holiday although we ate out most evenings. It is a perfect base to explore this beautiful island and very good value. Within 5 mins by car to beautiful Sandy beaches, lovely restaurants and shops. Easy access to the north and south of the island. What made it so special was the view from the balcony, lovely to sit and relax after a days sightseeing. Lovely friendly and helpful hosts. Would recommend to all my friends and family.

The shower needed pre heating, this only took 15 mins and was fine for us but a family of 4 with teenager girls wanting to wash their hair daily showering one after the other May struggle. That said, Kefalonia is an island and wouldn’t be just this property. I would also recommend to other travellers to hire a car- not a dislike but an observation. We would return to this apartment
