Hokkaido Asahikawa 7 - inn

Location was close to the station which was great for our travel to daisetsutan national Park. Facilities were awesome. Great amount of space and ability to be self sufficient.

I got at least 10 emails in 2 days which felt like a lot of communication

The place is clean. The location is good.

The apartment has no window. The apartment had no parking.

It’s great that it accepts last minute booking. We booked this just an hour before check-in due to some unexpected changes of our original booking somewhere else. A paid city parking was conveniently located just 2min walk around the corner (9pm~10am was 1600¥).

Like everywhere in Japan, it is forbidden to wear shoes inside the flat, but we found noodles on the floor, some other food pieces and some other gross looking stuff on the floor… so it’s quite uncomfortable to walk around. I kept my socks on but I’d step onto something every now & then.. There was hair with some unknown sticky chunks in bed & on the sofa too. Luckily we stayed only two nights and not longer. It’s also one of those city apartments with no windows at all, so on one hand, it was almost pitch black for sleeping except the lights from electronics, on the other hand there’s zero natural light and hardly any fresh air (there’s ventilation & air-con).

The location

No human touch. The owner just sent auto generated messages for check in n check out instruction only, despite trying to contact the owner, the chat room can’t login at all. The system always down.

The location was great! We loved being in walking distance of so many shops, restaurants, the science center, city museum and more! The apartment was clean and a great size for our family of 4! Check in and check out were easy too. Thankful we found this property!

I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like. The facility was great!
