It was Quite, We Had our Privacy. The Host was Just a Call Away. Beautiful Nature and Animals

The owners are friendly and warm, and most helpful - nothing was too much effort. The room is spacious and comfy - loved the info. books on the Barrydale area! Ian was happy to oblige when we asked about a braai - even supplying the charcoal, and Ella was gracious in allowing us to use her freezer for our ice-packs. The bathroom is ample, we enjoyed the shower and extra large towels! I would have appreciated a net curtain for privacy when using the facility during the day (same goes for the bedroom). Ian was understanding in this regard.

They have lovely dogs and cats - but we would have preferred if they were kept apart from the guest area. The bathroom is not en-suite, which is a bit of a bother - though by putting up a dry-wall and door, this problem will easily be overcome. We discussed this with owners, and they were happy for the suggestion, as it was something they were concerned about.

Absolutely loved the location. The hosts are very special caring people ❤.

Ella and Ian are amazing hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The farm is beautiful and the room just perfect. They let us use their Weber so that we could have a nice braai and Ella immediately set the table outside for us. It was such a beautiful night under the stars where my now fiancé even spontaneously proposed to me under the stars at this beautiful location. This place will always have a special place in my heart.

Nothing I could think of

Breakfast was not served , as it was not part of the package or expectation. I enjoyed my meals at the hotel close by . The host also assisted me in preparing supper in their kitchen on my first night . The host and hostess were accommodating, friendly and interesting. They made me feel more than welcome. We communicated well and also shared experiences and general ideas. I felt that they were very caring .

Everything was great and my expectations were fully met. There were nothing that required immediate improvements.
