The Marlfield

There was lots to like, a really clean and cosy property in a nice quiet area. I really liked the coffee machine with the different capsules to try and the chocolate snacks were a lovely touch. There is also a nice space outside to enjoy both the front and back gardens. Had all the basic facilities and items in the property you sometimes worry a property wont have, it's ready made to live in for the duration of your stay.

Slightly awkward getting access to property as the lockbox pin on the website was incorrect however the host was great and quickly called me back to share the correct pin to allow access. Also the outer door was difficult to lock and I had trouble with this.

An excellent place to stay it, was well equipped, very clean and comfortable, and was ideal for my four night stay.

It had no table or chairs to sit and eat a meal.

The location was great and we had everything and more that we needed for our stay, it's like a proper home from home The communication with the owners was spot on

Really great location next to Shawhwad junction so easy to get anywhere! Lovely little touches like tunnocks goodies in the kitchen and all the facilities we needed to cook. Towels and toiletries provided which is always a nice touch

Decor is nice and well thought out. Furnishings were of good quality and bathroom, kitchen sink, bench tops & linen were clean. Quiet location.

Outdoor area neglected, washing line needs attention, struggled to hang out washing as the clothes pegs on the line were crumbling due to having been exposed to the elements. Inside the property the floor needed cleaning and there were dust bunnies on the lampshades, bed head , skirtings. No where to eat a meal. We got a takeaway our first night, as we arrived on a bank holiday, and we ended up standing at the bench tops to eat our meal. Couldn’t find any placemats to put the plates on our laps to eat. Took a while to find out why there was no hot water on the kitchen sink as taps are the wrong way round.

Ideal for our short break, but would also be great if we were staying longer. Good access to the motorway system.

Personal preference, but the bed was softer than I like.

I can't speak highly enough of this place, it had everything you could want or need for a very comfortable stay.

Nothing I didn't like. Lovely place.
