Traditional Romanian Apartment

Clean, pretty and comfortable. Great to have aircon. Excellent location. The host very kindly left us water, tea, coffee and snacks.

The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped, perfect size for a family of four, and very clean, in a very central area. Communication with the owner/manager was very easy. I must also underline how good the sound-proofing was: with open windows, there was a lot of noise from the street, but once we closed them, it was totally quiet. I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect for self catering if that’s what you’re after. Kitchen is small but well equipped! Wash machine also available. Complex felt safe, husband used lift and can confirm that it works even though looks dodgy… I used the stairs. Location is perfect as it’s right in city centre! Easy to follow instructions for accessing. Host was very responsive too. I’d book again

Although very clean and comfortable with modern facilities, because the apartment is in an old style communism era block, it gave a small insight into how people must have lived at that time. It was quite easy with a little imagination to place yourself in 1970’s Bucharest. And it was positioned within 5 minutes walk of the old town area and 10/15 minutes walk from Unirinii piata where you can get the Metro to pretty much anywhere in the city, also where the no100 airport bus drops and picks up.

We were in apartment no48 at the back of the building which overlooks the river, the “balcony” is not really a place to sit but a window to look out of and the bathroom could do with updating, however if the bathroom was modernised the apartment would definitely lose a lot of it’s communist era atmosphere, so swings and roundabouts really depending on whether you prefer comfort and luxury or a little authenticity.

Arrival: Easy to access the key in a lockbox with clear instructions. Location: The best location possible for exploring Bucharest and right next to the old town. Apartment: beds comfortable, good air conditioning, powerful shower. Arrival welcome package of snacks, water and coffee was a lovely surprise. Everything we needed and more. Would happily stay again!!!
