White Nights of Old Town Bucharest

The apartment was spacious. Near to the old town.

The street and adjacent buildings are very worn down. Looks a bit like a ghetto. Also no free parking available.

Awesome location. On the edge of the Old Town so not too noisy but very close to the action. Fully equipped kitchen and large bedrooms. Very clean. Comfy beds. Easy communication with host who was super responsive.

Lots of mosquitoes. It rained while we were there and the entrance flooded as there is no drainage which meant our feet got soaked every time we entered or left the building. The bathroom is very small. There is only AC in the living room so the bedrooms were pretty hot.

Floors could benefit from mopping. The shower spout holder is bad.

The location is unbeatable. Right behind the Old town, metro a few minutes away, bus to airport and Therme few minutes away. Nice walk to the Parliament. The apartment is basic, but it was OK. The entrance to the apartment is correctly enough somewhat “interesting” and it is hard to believe you are in fact entering an apartment building. However, I received a document with a very detailed description (including photos) of how to enter through all doors, and everything went fine. The actual apartment door is easy to handle and locks well.

The kitchen is not really equipped for cooking or eating. Basic things like plates, cloth, cooking utensils etc were missing. Also missed a bottle opener :-) The bathroom could do with a small upgrade - no holder for the showet head, the toilet flush fell of the wall repeatedly etc.

The location is excellent, right next to the old town strip but far enough you can't hear it. Very clean and tidy, beds were comfy. We didn't spend too.much time in the apartment. It's good if you just need to get your head down at night.

The entrance looks very dodgy/seedy, not very appealing. The shower wasn't great but we were only there a couple of days so it didn't matter too much. Was expecting a lovely balcony to sit and have a coffee......it does not look like what it does on the photos.
