Incredible Cape Town Corner

Views from the porch are absolutely fantastic, direct view of Table Mountain and Lions Head. The house is almost at the end of a steep cul de sac so very quiet. The hosts were extremely generous, offering sparkling wine, waters, milk, juice, snacks and rusks and biscuits. Really very kind. There is a safe for valuables and the hosts have literally thought of everything, there is a little sewing kit and plasters and headache tabs in case you need them! Air cons in the lounge dining room and in the bedroom work very well.

The bedroom is a little dark and hidden at the back of the property. There is a security light outside the bedroom window that flashes the whole night. Can't switch it off. The blinds help to block most of it out, but it is disturbing. There is no off street parking available for guests. You do need to park on the street, which is probably ok as it is a very quiet street, but we had a lot of luggage from the rest of our trip which we did not intend moving out of the car for our one night stay here but we ended up doing that as we were worried that the hired car would be broken into for the luggage. the flat is up a number of steep steps so getting the luggage up was not easy but we had help from the host so that was very nice.

The accommodation boasts a fantastic view of Table Mountain and Lion's Head - one can sit on the deck and watch the cable cars travel up and down the mountain. It is spacious and well-equipped for a self-catering stay, with all the usual appliances (including access to a washer-dryer). The area seems very safe and quiet/peaceful.

This is not a criticism at all, but simply for noting (may be useful info for other guests). The property is elevated against the hillside and so, although the City Bowl is within walking distance, it is quite a steep climb uphill to the property. Perhaps best to have alternative transport/uber.

Great view

First of all, the view of Table Mountain is stunning! The apartment is spacious, but still cozy and located on a quiet hill street in a very safe neighbourhood. Close to Kloof Street for groceries and restaurants if you use Uber or rental car. The kitchen was stocked up with drinks and snacks which is very welcoming after a late night arrival. Bathroom has shampoo, soap etc, so no need to bring anything. The host Skia is very welcoming and always available for questions. Very friendly housekeeping lady as well. We got to do our laundry before we left, so that’s a big plus. We would definitely stay there again!

Hot water ran out a little fast for two people to take a shower or bath, but that was not a big problem. A good addition in our opinion would be a ceiling fan in the living room, to get the airflow going when the balcony doors are open.

The view of the table mountain is good. Clean. Delighted with the little snacks that host has provided.

The location is far from the Main Streets. Inconvenient if without car. People who have mobile issues (eg old folks) may not be suitable as there are flights of steps to climb 1) from main gate to living area 2) from living area to bedroom 3) bedroom to bathroom

This accommodation was truly incredible. Fabulous interior and attention to detail. The view was of Table Mountain was magnificent. This place is truly value for money. We really enjoyed our stay.
